I feel your pain. My voice was gone from last Sunday (Jan. 30) through Tuesday (Feb. 1) of last week. Still coughing too. I takes me around 2 hours to get to sleep each night, due to coughing.
Need to get healthy, as I want to go snowboarding on Saturday.

Yep, same here. I still got it, I barely have a voice. Wednesday night I started feeling like crap. Thursday wasn't too bad, then Friday = and no voice, but I went to work anyway. Saturday I went to work and felt kinda better, but my voice was still gone. Sunday I was off, but felt worse. This morning, I felt absolutely awful, so I had to break down and go to the doctor and call out sick. The verdict was an upper-respiratory infection, so now I have to call out sick for tomorrow too Because of the type of job I have, I can't go to work because I'll get clients sick. Oops
I wish it would have just gone away on its own instead of making me go to the doctor and spend money I was told to take the day off tomorrow and have bed rest and fluids. Yay? It would have been a yay if I had paid sick days

Heya KS315. Hope you feel better soon.
I'm still awake, been trying to sleep for the last 3 hours, but even with the combined effort of Nyquil and Robitussin, I'm still coughing. Strangely, I'm almost fine as long as I'm upright, but if I lay down: COUGH!

I hope you feel better soon too pcmodem I'm also getting that cough when I lay down, mostly a phlegm-based cough. I think it's from post-nasal drip when I lay down. But yet I'm so clogged that I can't breathe through my nose at all and Vicks is doing nothing because I can't even breathe any in. Sinus pressure is making my face hurt and my right eye water. Yick. Sneezing hurts because nothing comes out

After seeing the confusion my latest posts made, I am starting to wonder if there should be a designated typer. Any posts made under the influence of sleep should be checked and rechecked before making. At least there would be someone to stop me from posting after midnight when I mind starts to shut down for the night.

Hmm, sound like you could use a humidifier as well.

KS315, try a decongestant to relieve the sinus pressure. Steam helps with that too, once you can breathe.
Ended up taking Tuesday off from work to rest, and went and bought a bottle of Robitussin DM. This works better, DM's got a cough suppressant AND an expectorant (I was using just the cough suppressant type before).
