have you guys seen howl's moving castle?? omgosh i watched it and its sooooo beautiful! the soundtrack is stunning too, even now i still have chills down my spine, not scary or anything but i was really moved. i think i like this better than spirited away
Yes i've just recently caught it during the chinese new year period when it's out on the big screens as sneak previews!! it was so totally sparklingly beautiful i was captivated every second during the film.
the theme waltz was hauntingly beautiful as well, it's been in my head since i last watched that film! i love the scene in which sophie (the female lead) first met howl and when the atmosphere swelled into a huge heart-melting moment when howl brought sophie up .... (no more because i'll be spoiling the show!)
i'm waiting for the film to be released officially so i could catch it again..

I'm a little late to this topic, but I love good anime. Since I have limited funds at the moment, I'm mostly restricted to anime shown on Cartoon Network, G4tv, and the Action channel.
My current favorite is Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. I pretty much have everything from Masamune's universe, even the figures. I've been keeping up on DVD, but it looks like Cartoon Networks going to over take the DVD releases in March . No more watching the Japanese audio first. _________________

Thanks qilver, i'll be sure to check out Best Buys sometime round the first week of March for Ikki
@aki: I baught me Azumanga, its pretty good actually, but if i had fast internet and know a place that lets me download it, i'd rather do that than buy it, cuz it can be expensive to buy that series
just bought me the 1 vol. of School Rumble manga at kinokuniya for about half the price at $6, instead of border's bookstore price of $13...too bad it is in japanese, but had to get it still.

finally finished watching 'This ugly and beautiful world' after several months. It took me a while to finish since i kinda know right away what the story will be after watching 2 eps. Nevertheless, it is an ok series. _________________

Yeah, I just saw School Rumble manga at my local Borders today. I was about to buy it, but then I saw the price tag.
But it looks like I'm going to have to hit up Kinokuniya sometime soon to pick it up. $6 is a pretty good price considering it sold for 540~ (which is about $5) in Japan.
I can knock down two birds with this one since I can enjoy the reading as well as boost my Japanese skills.

not sure how many vol's of school rumble there are, but still got it even if i don't know japanese. yeah kinokuniya had it for a good price, lucky i didn't get it at borders either. guess i can just pick up the story by looking at the pix, seems good though and i like the artwork.

Borders, as well as Barnes and Noble, are usually always overpriced... The trick is to scope out the stuff you want to buy at those stores, then buy 'em online through Amazon... No sales tax and free shipping (over $25), too.
If you have the patience to wait for the items to show up in the mail.

I watch some animes, but not too often. I used to watch Tenchi in Tokyo and Tenchi Universe when it played and also Dragon Ball Z and G Gundam. Hm, what else do I watch? Oh yeah, and Yu Yu Hakashow (sp?), Inuyasha, Cowboy Beebop, Trigun and Case Closed.
