KIKU-TV showed the first Yoshitsune episode last night. Not bad, not bad . . . you just KNEW they had to show a war general Yoshitsune to treat the Taki fans (couldn't help but notice the preview of upcoming shows present sweaty, shirtless Taki; Taki playing flute [to show his sensitive side]; and Taki in different style of clothing; yawn, how obligatory; OK, OK, OK, don't hit me, fans of Taki) to start everything off, even though Yoshitsune's papa's story is a great starting point for any production regarding Yoshitsune.
But, I gotta say so far it's faithful to the Yoshitsune tale, from what I know at least. Looking forward to this one. Lotta star power. Man, you'd think Matsudaira Ken's next role'd be comedy (no, I DON'T count Matsuken Samba) or playing a serial killer or something, but, guess he's in this samurai show for now. AND KIKU-TV's airing his Chushingura. Cripes, why quit Abarenbo Shogun, then?

LOL. To me, it doesn't seem very dynamic or inspiring.

Thanks for your reply kitakaze.
At least im keeping up with encoding/ripping/authoring this series. I hope i dont get lazy and a couple of months later have to author 10-15 episodes at a time.

39 minutes is pretty much normal for Taiga, once you cut out the commercials... and if you leave out the yards of credits, and scenes from last week.
BMW,

Thanks geezer...
I've heard they cut out the travel portions of the show also. Episode 3 was roughly 43 minutes long. So, that's why i was wondering why Episode 4 was 4 minutes less.

I'm essentially doing the same thing, but then I transfer it to digital tape then finally to my PC. Convoluted yes, but it'll have to do until I buy a DVR...

Not to mention that yoshitsune is 49 episodes. |
Well, that'll force one to be more efficient and prompt with the encoding and authoring, ne?
