Well, I finished Seikei Bijin last night. Overall, I thought it was a good and entertaining comedy. Ryoko was over course, beautiful and funny, although it was strange always having her looks being referred to as artificial... . The only negative I found is that I didn't think the show probed too much into the underlying reasons why people want to make themselves look "better." Of course, I should expect that from a television drama. _________________

Well, I think Honami pointed out her motivation (at the beginning and when she was on that TV show) for her makeover, which are typical reasons, ne?

Oops, I meant the underlying problem in society that makes people want to make the deciscion to get plastic surgery.
That flashback where all the boys were saying how ugly she was, where the young self had her back to the camera, and how Honami said she just smiled in response, was heartbreaking. That's one of the problems I meant.
Of course, I'm probably too naive about social justice anyway . _________________
