Not a bad idea, but my motherboard is starting to go.

The onboard USB ports that connected to my flashcard reader fried, nice and smokey. Sometimes it doesn't detect the PS2 keyboard.

Already have a fast CDRW and a fast DVD burner, good enough HDD (120 GB Seagate 7200.7 series, 512 MB of Corsair LL PC2700 RAM) but runing out of HDD space.

Hmm. I guess you need a new mobo then.

You could save some dough and buy another mobo that'll take your PC2700 DDR module... I've seen Fry's advertising 200GB ATA100/133 HD for around $70-$90 after rebates (which I despise)...

My upgrade last year only cost me several hundred bucks: Athlon XP2600, 512MB PC3200, 160GB ATA100 HD, and the Pioneer 8X burner... And I upgraded gradually, waiting for each item to go on sale. Big Grin

My DVR107 broke down the other day! After 2000+ burns it was bound to. I still got a year warranty so Im gonna get it fixed or replaced but in the mean time I picked up the new DVR109 from Fry's. It's the Pioneer 16x DL burner. Burns like a freaking savage! And looks good too Big Grin

Yow, 2000+ burns?? I think you just wore that baby out, Elt.

You should get a job at Pioneer testing burners. Big Grin

Make any decisions, PCM?

It seems like if you enter the address of one of the page directly u can still navigate around the site without having to pay, any of the links below should work:

http://www.videohelp.com/guides
http://www.videohelp.com/dvd
http://www.videohelp.com/forum

from there you can then click on the other links (on the videohelp.com site) and you should be able to view it just fine.

*It wont work if you click on the links from the main page.

Hmm, not an easy task resizing...

Have you checked out/inquired at videohelp.com? That's the best place to search for an answer to your question... Smile

What format are the files in? mpg/avi/mov?

what do u really mean by resizing ..... is it like cutting out undesired parts from the movie so as to reduce the size ..

or is it something like format transformation to smaller sizes

????? just curious as did not really understand

I think he/she means proportionately reducing/enlarging the video size, not cropping/cutting the video... Wink

Yeah, it's possible: a video is just a large compilation of individual frames... Problem is, if you resize it in an odd way, you might not be able to watch it on a regular TV.

Could you give me some more details as to what you're trying to do?

Are you trying to reduce the video size to shrink the file size? How large is the video? Is this for TV viewing or internet use?
