Yo,
Back after another trip to Lake Tahoe.

Friday and Saturday at Kirkwood.

Sunday at Sierra-At-Tahoe.

It was supposed to snow from Friday at midnight through Saturday morning at 6AM, didn't happen. Cry

Still had fun, but way too hard and icy on Saturday at Kirkwood. On Sunday, stayed in the West Bowl of Sierra-At-Tahoe, which was slushy but that's okay, I'll take slush over hard and icy any day.

Saturday (3/26) at Squaw Valley:

Ended up twisting my back at Squaw... Beaten and had to see a doctor on Monday (3/28) to get pain killers and muscle relaxants. Took Monday (3/28) and Tuesday (3/29) off from work. Puppy Dog Eyes

Arrgh!

This year has been pure agony to me. I haven't been able to ski at all! In addition I've had to listen to my friend who has gone skiing every weekend for three last weeks and said that she doesn't want to go and so on... Bang Head

How can someone NOT want to go skiing???? Crazy

Oh yeah, I cracked the highback on my Burton P1 Carbon binding (right foot's binding) too. Doh!

Luckily, Burton will replace it since it's within the warranty period. Just got off the phone with them. The only hitch is they say it may take until summer to get it fixed, because they're probably out of the 2005 replacement highbacks, so they'd have to wait 'til the 2006 highback parts are available.

Hmm... You were quite lucky. Usually everything breaks down only just after the warranty period hehe hehe hehe

I would love to go skiing in japan! Ive been to switzlerand, france and italy before, so somewhere outside the alps would be a really nice change Smile
I went on the oxford and cambridge university ski trip at christmas, the first morning there I managed to have really quite a bad fall, meaning that I totally crapped up a ligament in my knee, meaning I could hardly walk the rest of the week, let alone ski, so that kinda sucked :/
That said, I could see an international big air competition from the balcony outside my room, which was fun! Smile

If you want to try skiing/snowboarding in Japan, you should go to Niseko in Hokkaido. The snow is AMAZING!

However, signs are in Japanese only and nobody speaks English there. My first ski trip was at Niseko and since I knew very little Japanese, I had to take lessons with 5 year olds!

I've never snowboarded anywhere outside BC, Canada Shocked Whistler is my home, lol w00t!

Actually, I went skiing once when I was 5 in Tokyo. I don't really remember much, but it was like an indoor slope Sweat And, if I remember correctly, the snow wasn't very good. Well, compared to my beautiful Whistler it wasn't, lol hehe It was called like... SSAWS?

Went to Whistler in January 14-17 of this year.

On Sunday, I went to Kirkwood again, to use my free lift ticket. Spent the day teaching my amiga Mo' how to snowboard. She tried to sign up for lessons, but when we arrived at 9 AM all of the private lessons were already booked for the day.

Amazing how much snow is still up in the Sierras for this time of the year.
