No problem, just take some extra vitamins and do lots of sit-ups for exercise, we're counting on you.
Actually, a buddy of mine lives in Paris. She's Thai and gorgeous, a former actress in Thailand.

Heh, unfortunately, she is not single.
She lives with her BF, David, who is a tall and very cool guy, an American living in Paris. Investment Banker or Stock Broker or something like that.
FYI, you'd not want to date an ex-actress or ex-model anyway... they are always EXPENSIVE.

In my thoughts, I see men as fearing commitment to one person, or committing and changing their minds way later which hits the woman like a ton of bricks. I fear commitment only due to the fact that I fear the other person changing their mind later or aren't really serious in the back of their mind but pretend to be. |
so desu ne... i agree. lots of the guys i met are like that. they keep saying they want to earn more money and have a house and then they will seriously date and get married. these guys don't even bother to date at all. makes me think they are lazy and just fear commitment and fear to make the next step of adulthood. yeah the changing mind thing is truly bothersome. there are so many failed relationships and marriages out there, it is kind of scary.
| KouSeiya315 wrote: | And, it's not like I haven't had serious relationships either. Not many relationships at all and not for a long time, but I've had good ones. But, I had thoughts in the back of my head and never fully trusted them and thought "too good to be true...what the hell is this guy doing with me still?", in addition to other thoughts. Call it lack of self-confidence and self-esteem as well as paranoia if ya's want...because I fully admit to having those problems I've also had two VERY bad relationships, ones that messed me up even more and added to my issues with men. Plus seeing other relationships of friends and relatives that just back up my claims...mreh. |
i think you should ask yourself: what good qualities do i have? and list them. i'm sure you have good qualities or else you would not have had good relationships in the past ne. don't let those bad relationships get you down or get in your way of finding true happiness, think of those as learning experiences. after all, dating can be fun and at times things can get tough and hard, but that is how love is. love is a double edge sword, one side is really sweet and the other is very painful and hurtful. but that is how it is. if you allow yourself to accept and go through those good and bad times, it will bring you steps closer to finding a good partner and it will make you a better partner. you learn from your mistakes from your past relationships, this way you try not to make the same one in your next future relationship.
as for me, i've totally given up on Chinese guys because they are too picky with me. and look, i'm Chinese. but what can i do? i find that i have better conversations with Korean and Japanese guys and they are not bothered with the fact that i was born in the US and have a degree. and they don't require me to make $100,000 USD a year.

Sounds like you are not dealing with ABCs, sodesuka? Most ABCs I know expect the woman to have a college degree. Oddly, in the pecking order, most Chinese view ABC's as being snobs, which to an extent is true and Chinese from China look up to ABC's as they expect them to be the rich Chinese-from-America stereotype. But at the same time, Chinese from HK and China give ABCs a bad time about not being Chinese enough, or calling them bananas or Twinkies.

hmmmm well i guess marriage is more like a societal formality which has been there for toooo long .. in a way i do agree with u .. but u know because of this psychological thing of marriage .. i guess people once married take a relationship more seriously then just a fling or gf-bf thingy thing .. especially over the long term ... i mean deciding to spend ure life with "1" person ... whew!!!! donno abt u .. for me is a tough decision ..
