I'm almost certain it's much better than the version you have seen. I'm in the process of downloading it. If you want a preview version of episode 1 via CD, let me know.

The subtitles on the DVD version for the one we saw, Eve, crack me up.
They translated it into Chinese first, then to English.
That's why you see all of the him/her grammatical errors, as well as things like calling Kimura's character, Halu, as Ching.
Thankfully, I understand Cantonese grammar patterns and still know chotto nihongo, so I can get by.

I have purposely avoided that version of Pride for that reason. I was getting the FOB version, but it seems to have stopped. At least this one is coming out.
...Sharks? as in the San Jose-NHL-why are they not playing Sharks?

My amigo Mike plays for the Grizzlies, a local amateur league team. Though their season is done.

Actually... I could only recognise about half of the songs in the list.. 
As for the others, there's a chinese forum that listed out songs that were featured in the drama. That's how I got to know roughly the whole songs that were used and added them into my own list. ^_^
