LOL! It's kind of a pain when every other word is a kanji you don't know yeah? hehe

But it's a good way to learn your kanji!

Woah..yeah indeed. I got stressed when I found so many combos in Kanji..damn! The key to know more kanji is to do a lot of reading I guess.. Beaten And that is quite impossible for me to do since I got tired from work and seeing those writings will make me dizzy Nut

@Liss..yeah..Toyo Kanji Dictionary really helps you a lot. It gives you guidance on the basic strokes of Kanji as well as its variations

Learning Japanese when you watch dramas is a good way to learn since you get to see the context in which the words are used, but it's also bad because you tend to learn a lot of slang! hehe

OMG..denden..hahaha..glad to have you back in this forum!! Hug

@t_rain..I think you're talking about V6 DVD cover, I recall someone made it in this thread..maybe Meow you can pm her btw..

@Rinrin..hahaha..you damn right! it's not really good if you learn it from watching drama only because I notice that they also speak in not so proper grammar sometime..lol..er..my teacher warned me of not reading too many idol magazines because it will ruin my grammar..but how though, I cannot put it down especially if you can check out the cutey, hotey pics there.. Naughty

I think this thread needs picture flood again..*gosh, I've been so busy with work for the past three days that's why I hardly log in. Sweat

That's why maybe how I talk is Japanese slang alot but when with older people, I try to use keigo...sometimes nah.....dramas sure helped me and manga on the kanji reading skills. I just need to learn how to write kanji....and my mom wants me to graduate idol mags when I become 16. She doesn't want me reading a low leveled mag with celebs....

Welcome back FallenStar! It has been ages ne?

Haha...when I signed up for the Myojo subscription, I told my parents that it was for learning the kanji. And it has helped...but sometimes I find myself just looking at the pics instead of actually reading the words. Bonk Bonk Bonk

Liss..you really crack me up..LMAO.. rofl rofl

It is a good reason but it won't really help with the grammar..(look who's talking..i'm still buying those things anyway LoL Beaten ) I also end up looking at the pic 'cause it's too distracting if you know what I mean. hehe Especially when I open the mag and see Kimura everywhere..woaah..in awed for couple of second and then move on to the next page. Nut

Well it helps me with the reading but definelt NOT for the grammar....people use modern language and all that and not real proper grammar....

Haha..that's true. All of the dramas and stuff I watch isn't good for my grammar. That's the only part I lost marks in for my Japanese interview...sighs. I was being kind of baka during the interview though. Halfway through, I said, "Kyou, ii tenki desu ne...". Yukari-sensei looks up and goes, "chotto"...and when I look up too to the window, it's really cloudy and looks like it was going to rain. Sweat Bonk Bonk

Hehe...I'm watching Pride right now, Aka-chan, and Kimura can be quite distracting! hehe
