i know they have such a thing for japanese tourists travelling to korea....you know how japan is experiencing this korea boom right now and how all things korean are popular at the moment...well much of that stems from the popularity of the korean drama "winter sonata" in japan...they actually have a tour package where presumably mostly female tourists can visit many of the locations used in the drama.

Next trip, i will plan on staying longer in kyoto. Nagoya, expo, cool. I thought of it, but it would be too much and too crowded for me to go. thought i might just go see kyoto for awhile and then Tokyo the rest of the trip.
Have fun on your trip. | thx Q. Since i'll be gone from tonight, see everyone in about 3 wks!

yeah, last time i went to Hakone, about 1hr or so from Shinjuku, it is so different than the citylife of Tokyo, nice getaway from the hustle of the crowded city. I have some pix of Hakone as well, too bad it was cloudy, i was basically right in front of Mt. Fuji at Lake Ashi area. |
There is a train line that runs in Hakone right?

oh...i see....but the point about the popularity of the asahi that astounded me was based on worldwide sales by volume....it was surprising to me that a japanese beer would be ranked that high given the tradition and assumed popularity of european and american beers....moreso, because you figure beer from those countries are pushed harder with more marketing dollars.
