Teppei-kun is so KAWAII in this series especially in ep5.
Hoaaahhh... Really like Koike Teppei!!!!
I like his face, his voices, his song, everything!!!
Watch Waterboys 2 too, he's so cute in that drama!
Btw, feel like missing something in Gokusen2 (that would be sawada shin and the police guy don't appear in gokusen2), but because of Teppei-kun, i think i totally like this one too...(^__^)
for me, its almost same plot as the first season, nothing new....
it is like a mere continuation... although i watched the unsubbed one,
so most of the time i cant really comprehend what they are talking about
might as well d/l the subbed one now that i saw that someone has already subbed them ....
What sub do you need?
English?
Malay?
Looks like the malay version had been available. And i've watched it.Yea, same like the other dorama that has a sequel, gokusen 2 seems like a copy from the first. But still, i think this one is worth enough to watch.

of course in english!!! but anyway, i saw the torrent file the other day so might as well add it to my list to be d/l.....

Part I is much better than part II although with more pretty boys. Lots of eye candy here...
Somehow I can't focus on any of the characters what a pity...
I get a little tired of Yankumi's role here. It feels shallow compared to the first Gokusen. Maybe it's because she's doing the same thing again - falling for another guy (geez I wonder what happened to the policeman, as if it never happened ). Kind of predictable.
The Kat Tun guys were cute but somehow they don't seem to sparkle like Matsujun in the first series. Maybe it's the way it's shot and edited. I was comparing the 2 films and realized maybe because there were more time given to Shin for his delivery, with more close up shots, than with the new boys... Maybe Matsujun has more expressive eyes/face?...
i don't mind a new cast without Shin that much. After all, it's a high school drama and he's graduated. But I think Part II didn't manage to produce a very strong icon like what Part I did with Shin. What a pity...
And the plot is not as convincing as the original. Now the guys are rougher, prettier, nastier, but somehow it lacks the innocent, imature prank/silly violence of 17yr-old-adult-wanabe mindset of the original boys. More like in a juvenile prison than a high school! And Yankumi has turned into Rambo here and the fighting was less believeable. At one time, I was afraid that she will suddenly fly up in the air in exaggerated kungfu chops!
Part II is more like a Kat Tun show than Gokusen. Most people remembers those pretty boys but not their roles in the show right?
Whereas we remember Shin and not Jun. Or rather Shin makes me interested to know Jun... Hmm...
Still, for those who's never watched Gokusen, it's still worth a watch.

You're kinda right because Shin made me interested also in Matsumoto Jun. But Infairness, I also liked the guys in series 2 but still, maybe because Jun has more charisma than Kat Tun/Mokomichi even Teppei. And with those eyes...

Yea, i think it's because in part 1, shin has more shots than the other, that's why he seems like the main role there and always stay in people's mind. It's just like a one man show for me, because compared with the other like uchi and the others, he is the only student that appeared in every episode with lots of close up.
In part 2, seems like Shin's role has been divided in to 2 characters, Odagiri and Yabuki. That's why the two of them has the same chance to pop up in the shows. And that make people can't concentrate to one character only like shin. But still, i think it's deserved to be it, because there's just one shin, and one student like shin that i think can be a perfect match with yankumi. I like their teacher-student's love story...
I don't think it's ok if in gokusen 2 there's a student who act like shin's role, because for me, student that has a crush on yankumi should be shin only.
Just my own hope actually....

I totally agree with you. It seems like they don't want to replace Shin.
Actually, in the first ep, I thought Hayato/Ryu will be like Shin that they will also have a crush on Yankumi. It was a good thing that they didn't coz it's just like repeating the story in part 1.
It's like if you merge Hayato and Ryu, you will get Shin BUT!!! Sawada Shin will always be Sawada Shin, the student who had a crush on Yankumi and I don't want his character to be replaced nor be copied.

one thing that puzzled me with this episode is did they really study in school? didnt seen any scene of them taking exams but they all graduated... wonder how did they do it ? when they were all focus on other things.... but overall, if it is still a good if u wanna good laugh .... with all those exaggerating expression of yankumi... i like the ending part..... do anyone have any idea where it was shot? the beach and that long bridge?

Agreed....!!!!!

er... I'm not so sure if I want to watch another series of Gokusen... it's sort of stretching the originality in Part II already...
I just think that Matsujun and those guys from Kat Tun and Nakama Yukie should do more dramas other than Gokusen.
Can't rely on just Gokusen fame forever right?

Well, Gokusen special is about class 3D's graduation. (whether or not they graduate u might want to watch it yourself)
I haven't watched the specials but if it's about graduation, that's weird.
I thought that there was a graduation already in the last epidsode that I have... unless that's the 'special'?!
But, actually i've heard about gokusen 3/movie will be produced. Because of the high rating in japan.
But seems like nakama yukie still very2 busy right now, making her Trick series, so gokusen3/movie not produced yet.
Hayami Mokomichi said in a magazine that he wished to play in gokusen 3 too...

i dont think they did rely on just gokusen for fame... they did appear in other drama series with their own characteristic.. for example, matsumoto jun as kindaichi and also as momo in kimi wa petto...
