and this was the late lunch we had, can't remember where, maybe akihabara. Anyways this for under 400 yen, i believe that was the price for it, and was so so good.

dayem that looks grub....com'on dude, like you said...you can't even compare yoshinoya in japan to the one here in the states...the one here in the states is dog food in comparison...at least the food in your picture looks fresh and flavorful, not dull and dead like a bowl of old pine needles...i think the last time i eat at yoshinoyas was around 10 years ago

under 400 yen...it only goes to show that if you know what's up you can survive in japan on a budget....i mean you won't be eating at Il Mulino's every night but you can eat comfortably, with a tasty variety of foods.

i can't help but retierate how much more seriously japanese take their food, man.

unfortunately yoshinoya's here is practically the equivalent of 99 cents chinese food that caters to the chop suey/orange chicken/beef with american broccoli crowd.....

the one japan is actually fuggin' tasty or so it seems....i won't lie i didn't go but qliver's picture and testomonial are evidence enough. plus the sukiyaki style beef there is actually authentic unlike here...and they actually give you a raw egg to dip it in as is traditionally done...there's a scene in "beautiful life" that proves the point.

sad to see it's so corrupted here and the thing is we probably pay the same fuggin' much for the sh*t version....com'on 400 yen...that's nothing man. especially in JAPAN....you could pay that shiet with ONE COIN THERE

Oddly, that sounds like what I usually get at Panda Express. Sweat But I get chow mein instead of chop suey (which they don't have and is a bogus dish anyways.)

Ahh, the raw egg. Can't get used to that aside from using it in sukiyaki.
