Does anyone know about professional extermination of pests in front lawns? I know how indoor goes, but not outdoor. I wanna find someone to dig in the dirt and bury some poison or something. I dunno, whatever kills all pests, anything short of an atomic bomb. Price is no issue, my landlord would be paying. Does anything like that exist? (It's nothing serious, just to prevent the f*ckers from coming into the house...due to the weather we have an overpopulation of something icky ).
I know there's stuff you can buy that you can sprinkle or spray on a lawn or an area and it's supposed to keep away bugs for several months... I think there used to be a lotta chemicals that exterminators could use, but enivronmental and public health concerns banned their use...
If you're just worried about the tiny livestock from entering the house buy the spray: it's usually in a one gallon container with a built-in squeeze sprayer their usually marked "lasts for three/four months." Just spray the lower edges of doors and around the perimeter of the windows. when the stuff dries it leaves an invisible film that sticks to bugs legs, then they take it into their bodies when they clean themselves, then they die.
After a while, you'll probably see some dead bugs around the doorway and windows...
One last thing: you might read the label or ask someone about it being safe for use around pets...

big mistake , u was bitten like 5 times bcs while i was asleep my gay ass little sister turned on tha light!
now im itching like crazy!
One more thing: pump sprays are usually cheaper and safer than aerosols, 'cause the propellants create too much of a mist that you'd end up inhaling rather than depositing on a surface.

Apparently they are sourced from one of my neighbors, 2 doors down they do not have them. We had them last year, but now we have them AGAIN. My landlord and I are extremely pissed off. We know they are in my lawn now. We want them GONE. We have humid summers but not much rain, so they tend to come out at night looking for water. If any of you guys are familiar with waterbugs, that is my problem. I see them outside alive, dead or dying in the basement, and 1 made it to my apartment this month. That's the first and hopefully the last.
It's my front yard so I'm not too worried about MY pet but neighbors' pets. I bought some stuff at Lowes on Saturday that comes in a huge jug and has a sprayer. But if they are in the dirt I dunno if it'll still get them. It does say that it's hazardous to humans and animals. I haven't used it yet. I bought some sand-like stuff that you put on with a spreader, but that stuff didn't work. I saw them outside on the sidewalk and I was outside pouring bleach on them, out of frustration. They are huge, revolting, and if you find one and spray it, it takes at least 10-15 minutes to kill it.
My lawn is very small (probably 8x6 feet) but I know there are bugs in there that are migrating to my basement, as there is a set of steps and the door to my basement right behind the lawn and flower bed. I get sprayed regularly in the summer about 1x per 6 weeks. My landlord pays, but it's a "bait and kill", so it draws them inside......which I hate. It kills, but I don't want them in here at all. So my landlord saw dead ones in my basement and was like "Call around and bill me, find anything short of an atomic bomb, I don't care what it costs. You clean a lot and shouldn't have to be dealing with pests".
I usually see about 1-2 per week. I spoke to my usual exterminator and he said "This spray only lasts 24-48 hours outdoors because the sun rays make it ineffective". I asked him about outdoor extermination and he seemed to not do that, so I'm gonna have to call around when my phone works again
I'm so sick of this and want to get it under control before it gets worse. I clean often and do not live in filth, yet, here they are. I'm afraid of bugs

Yeah, that sand-like stuff is like the liquid but in dry form: watering breaks it down and itseeps into the soil... It's supposed to last for several months, I think.

Yeah, the UV usually breaks down the insecticide in pretty short order so something that seeps into the soil would be best, but then there's the environmental aspects.
When my exterminator treated my place for subterranean termites he he dug a one foot wide by one foot deep trench around the perimeter of the house and filled the trench with a water-based chemical called Dursban. After the stuff soaked in he backfilled the trench with dirt. I asked him how long will that stuff last and he told me around 10-15 years. I haven't seen a bug or termite since, aside from the few coming in the windows and doors. And because its soaked deep down in the soil, the UV won't break it down.
Though, I think about a year or two later, Dursban was banned from being used.
Not sure if they have a substitute that they could possibly use, but you could inquire....

OK here's what you need to do. Get Raid ant and roach spray, works on everything creepy and crawly/
Spray a line of ant and roach spray along the edge of you doorways and along the outside edge of your building outside.
Shouldnt get washed away too fast.
Thats what I do.
You dont have a big enough yard to bother with chemicals anyway. _________________
I can't wait until they invent a little bug-killer robot that shoots them with laser beams, then scoops up the dead bug gore and chucks it in the bin automatically, so you never even have to see it if you don't want to, but you can log into the robot's internal webserver to get a log of all it's "kills", including little videos of each kill/disposal. You know that would be cool. I'd watch the videos after dinner and laugh.
Or on summer nights I could actually sit outside and watch the glittering of little lasers as they ionize those f***ing mosquitos into glowing little balls of bug plasma. It would be beautiful.

Yikes, gobs of bug plasma all over the yard... Cure worse than the problem?

It's like ionic plasma, ions so hot they turn to gas. Not, like gooey bug guts plasma. But the robot would be smart enough to pick that up too, and chuck it on the mulch pile. It's organic!

Yeah, I got that stuff: Raid Outdoor Ant + Roach. I pretty much used almost a whole can I sprayed my entire lawn, pavement cracks, and the steps outside 3 nights ago. Since then I haven't seen them outside at night like I used to, but I think they might come back I saw one in the basement since then but it died. They all need to die. What purpose do those huge gross f***ers serve???????
