same here
and it was yearrrrrsss ago.
those days i remember there was only hong kong dramas or tawainese ones. and when i first watched long vacation, it just blew my mind. that a tv drama can be shot in such high production value was refreshing (compared with the bad lighting, cheap sets and the fake caves of hong kong dramas at that time). and it was really trendy at that time.
it still is one of my all time fav. |
hongkong drama at that time is much more better than taiwanese drama in terms of set location especially on those classical and martialarts film...

Anyways, my first drama was Pride. I was surprised how good it was, and watched it in only two days. I've been hooked ever since. |
Congrats on your first post madsky. glad to meet you in the forum.
Wow, so Pride was your first! I think that might be bad as Pride is so great not all of them can live it to it later I would think. Pride is my all time favorite romantic drama. KimuTaku was insanely sexy and so masculine in that one. There's a thread for it you might want to check outl. I saw Refrain which I got hooked on but now that Ive seen so many it doesnt make any sort of list except to make a Tokiwa Takako and Fukayama Masaharu fan.

J drama will always be my first love but there are a few fantastic Tiawanese series that shouldnt be missed. True that the longer series can be more repetitive, it is harder to stay fresh for 28 eps than 12. However At The Dolphin Bay is wildly romantic. The leads are amazing. Soundtrack is wonderful. Story is riveting. Its about the rise of a young pop idol's career.
It was my Mom's first drama and she watched it straight through during a 3 day hurricane. We both just oohed and ahhed over Wallace Huo as the arrogant composer. Wow, he is crazy handsome and perfect for the role.

Yeah, I agree Wallace Huo is cute, but too bad he is dating one who is a lot older than her, but no doubt, she is gorgeous.
