I think she's 28 right now. She's currently dating Sakaguchi Kenji I heard. Kimi wa Petto and Last Samurai isn't the only thing she's really good...she's a really good acting sister in Suekko Chounan...she is very pretty! That's why she was a model and then became an actress! That's why she has good style and height which is 171 cm.

surprised this thread doesn't have more activity given koyuki's current role in the drama engine....although i understand that show has it's own thread here.

I believe that is Karasawa Toshiaki, who is married to Yamaguchi Tomoko.

She's acted in just a few dramas but in all that I've seen so far, Koyuki was good in all her roles. For eg. in Suekko Chonan Ane Sannin, her role was as a tomboyish and very outgoing person. This she acted very convincingly and in fact her character was the most interesting one despite it being just a supporting role.

In Kimi wa Petto, her role was as a sophisticated, independent career woman. She was elegant and beautiful but at the same time vulnerable, manipulative and selfish. However, her potrayal and good vibes with her co-star, Matsumoto Jun made the drama memorable and outstanding in my point of view.

Her latest work is Engine with Takuya Kimura. In this drama, her role was as an inexperienced teacher (inexperience in love as well) in the beginning, but later became a more matured person & earning the respect & admiration of Takuya' character, Jiro. For this role, she received the best supporting actress award. The same can be said for her earlier work, Mukodonno and Beautiful Life. Although they were just small roles, she was convincing. I'm looking forward in seeing her in more starring roles and becoming a major actress in the next few years.

Too bad, I've not seen Antique yet, nor Laundry nor Kairo nor Pulse. Couldn't get my hands on them? Any info on where I can download them?

By the way, do you know if she can speak English well? If she doesn't, then I can understand why she's reluctant to act in more Hollywood movies. Jackie Chan said that Asian artistes find it difficult to get interesting roles in Hollywood other than the stereotype ones because of their lack in the language. What a pity. We may have to depend on Michelle Yeoh and Zhao Zing Yi & another HK actress (couldn't remember her name- she was once married to a French guy) to carry the Asian torch in Hollywood.

She is so beautiful. One of my FAVORITES! I love her so much! She's the epitome of high-class beauty and true talent. Very very very up there in my book. I want to see more of her.

She is very beautiful with very good sense fashion compared to other Japanese actresses. I mean look at Kou Shibasaki (Orange Days, One miss call), she's pretty cute herself but sad to say her sense of fashion is very poor - bad taste in dress & hair style. So far, Ive only seen Koyuki in her best style, that's why I love watching her dramas. Even though I like Kou Shibasaki in Orange Days, I've not watched it again, know what I mean?

Does anyone know her latest project? So far, she's been busy in cm's only. I'd love to see her in another JDorama or film.

Just saw a clip of SMAP Bistro with Koyuki & toshiaki Karasawa as guests. I'm just amazed at how they were both enjoying the food cooked by the SMAP guys. I noticed that in most Japanese Dramas, eating scenes are very, very prominent. Take Koyuki for example in Kimi wa Petto, she's always cooking something, in Boku to Kanojo, Suekko Chonan, Tentai & Engine, she's always seen either eating or drinking!!!.
Then when I saw the Bistro clip, I could really see that she does like to eat! It's an amazing thing to me considering her beautiful slim figure! Wish I know her secret of remaining as thin as that despite having to eat in many scenes in almost all her acting roles plus enjoying her food outside her acting job!! Envy, envy, envy.........

Yes, I've seen her in Suekko & she was amazing in that drama. Totally different, pretty & sweet in a tomboyish way. Her in that Santa suit was hilarious - especially when the small boy peered underneath her skirt!! Then there was Koyuki in the construction worker attire. She just blended into the scene & I was rolling away when her colleague asked her to put out her hands & gave her the candies. Her expression of amazement at the genoristy as well as her surprise at seeing the candies which were obviously partially eaten! Koyuki in Suekko was funny & adorable. I think without her, the drama would not have been so funny, eh?
