ah yes, i know that bottle well...and it knows me. we have a mutual respect for one another, but we're strangers the next morning....a looong time ago i finished a whole bottle by myself....needless to say i was tossed. gotta represent takara sake from back in my old hood, berkeley.

ah...the good ol' days.

Fortunately (?), my brother and I had the much smaller bottle (12-16 oz., I think)... hehe

I think there's a couple of sizes available for the SCB Nigori. I'll probably get one along with the Echigo beer later today.

Anyone tried Kubota Senjyu sake before? It is a great seller at Marukai and I'm wondering if I should pick up a bottle or not.

lol, I did try one really cheap brand sake, it was like $3 and tasted like crap. well not like poo, but it was tasteless. The cheapest acceptable sake over here costs around $7 (from Gekkeikan). I'm no expert whatsoever but sadly sake isn't that popular here so I don't get to try that many.

You'd think the alcohol would dissolve the bag... Eventually.

Sake in a bag... ashamed now that is interesting, who would ever think of that!

I already find it strange to see some supermarkets selling pack of wine. (yup like a pack of juice)
