I was watching an episode of SMAPxSMAP and Rie Miyazawa was the guest....didn't realize she had another syashinshu that came out earlier this year, but then I don't really follow those things.

With that in mind, the ending seemed rather disappointing... At least, I perceived it that way.

yeah it was one of those highly ambivalent endings that left the audience contemplating "wassup?" as it ended with the characters in an ordinary moment in life....

but that's the show that turned me on to japanese dramas and i was really enthralled with the show given the novelty of the genre then! i still like rie miyazawa. suki yo.

Well said. I felt sorta cheated after watching for 11 weeks.

Must've got too involved with the story. Sweat

Yeah, that was probably the first non-chambara series that I sat all the way through... Rie-chan was a cherubic cutie-pie back then. Wink

yeah well life is full of trials and tribulations, as we've mentioned before, it's miraculous than she was able to recover her health and thereby her career and continue to impress her fans with her craft. she is definitely much thinner than she used to be, as she never recovered the weight she lost prior to her personal problems, but her face still has this angelic quality to it....so beautiful...she very softspoken in her grace, too. that's how i felt when i saw her on the episode of SMAPxSMAP where she was one of the celebrity guests.

Supply and Demand, What the Market Will Bare, etc...

Like that one person who's selling Musashi, The Yagyu conspiracy, Toshie To Matsu, etc. for something like $6-$9 per DVD (three epsiodes)... Talk about profiteering. Shake Head

Yeah, but wasn't it P.T. Barnum who said "there's one born every minute..."

i'll grant you that....unfortunately nobility doesn't impress upon people very well these days...shock value and violence are the order of the day.
