hey i like wad u said abt kdramas, really. i think not girls, it's more aunties. at least in my country it seems like the aunties are crazy over the kdramas' male leads. i still think girls between 12~18 will still like the johnny boys. at least tt will be the look they think is cute instead of those korean idols.

Now, what you said reminds me of an article I read about the effect that the popular drama Winter Sonata had on the marriages in Japan. It's not the teenage girls that are affected, but mostly the middle-aged housewives. They demanded divorce just because their husbands can't be as romantic as Bae Yong Jun in the drama ... And even though the Korean wave in Japan is fading, middle-aged women still watch and like a lot of Kdramas. I guess it's understandable, considering the fact that Jdramas don't focus a lot on Love or Romance. _________________

There may be people here who watch Korean dramas who will be able to help you out. If you want to reach out to more Kdrama fans, I would check out D-addicts (currently unavailable). Who knows, maybe your questions have already been answered there.
Moreover, I can't guarantee that this thread will not be locked, but more likely it will be moved since it is not a Japanese drama.

This is my most favorite korean drama!
It's "Sorry,I Love You" it has 16 episodes and won a lot of awards on the
2004 Korean Dramas Awards
Cha Moo Hyuk (So Ji Sub)
"It was such a terrible life.
In my life like a dog, the only good thing was that I loved Eunchai, but most regretful thing is also that I cannot forget her."
Fastidious, rough, bad-mouthing, hot tempered, once he goes crazy, he goes to the end.
He fights often, never get defeated.
He tells a lie more often than truth. He calls himself a dog.
(But nobody knows actually he is warm, tender like a lamb)
Moo Hyuk was abandoned as soon as he was born, adopted to Austrailia at 2 years old.
His another name is Danny Anderson.
He was ill-treated by the foster father, ran away from home at 10, met a clown on the street, served him as a father.
Lived together for 5 years, then the clown daddy ran away with a blondie.
This is his life, keep being abandoned.
" And... I lived like a stray dog.
I followed gangsters to get food to live. dragged people to prostitute quarter, sold drugs.
I once tried to count how many times I ever earn money in legal way, but I couldn't count even 1.
At age of 20, met a girl named Moon Ji Young, adopted Korean.
Unexpectedly I rescued her from his blue-eyed brother who tried to rape her.
After that, she didn't go back home, stuck to me. I spoke as many bad words as I know to her, but she never go away.
So I thought, 'Well, let her do cleaning or laundry.' so we lived together for 7 years.
Ji Young taught me Korea and Korean language. I became addicted to her slowly.
But.... she left me as well. To the rich, governor of Melbourn, 50 year-old man.
" When you die, go back and die in your country. " She once said to me.
This word pushed me to Korea.
And... I found the truth, maybe I'd better not know forever.
Now, I'm planning a gruesome revenge to my cruel mother.
Nobody can stop me. No... I hope someone stop me.
There, I see my brother's lover, Song Eun Chai. "
cast
So Ji Sup as Cha Moo Hyuk
Im Su Jung as Song Eunchai
Jeong Kyung Ho as Choi Yune
Suh Ji Young as Kang Min Ju
Summary
