My favorite is ZARD. They have done the theme song for "Saturday Night at the Mysteries" (titled "Promised You"--I love this song) as well as the theme for "Kasouken no Onna"

Utada Hikaru >> She sings, she pens her own songs, and sometimes her own lyrics. She's talented... leaving me with no excuse not to like her. She covers not only mostly R&B stuff... I think she has created a genre of her own.

Chemistry >> I found their songs rather nice, so they're in my list too. very R&Bish.

Dreams Come True >> Some of their stuff sounds great!

Misia >> Newly discovered by me. I know, I'm soooo outdated.

Bird >> Soul music... makes you wanna get up and groove to the music.

KinKi Kids >> nice.

My past list included V6, SMAP, ... many others... but this is the list of artistes I usually listen to nowadays.

Me like Zard as well. Kono Namida Hoshi ni Nare, prolly the best theme song in the Mariko series! Izumi Sakai's voice is a bit from the endin credits of Mariko than the actually song taken from Toki no Tsubasa album. I prefer her "immature" voice in Mariko credits Big Grin

You are my destiny. You are what are you to me. You are my happiness. That's what you are!
Not a jpop though. Paul Anka - You Are My Destiny has been ringin in my head since the morning, hehe! It's also a theme song to Golden Bowl-drama. I can't get this song outta my head, kinda irritatin song hehe Once it's ok, but several repeats, ugh.

i just cant stand when people say so and so doesnt sing well live... Yet those same people go to see Britney spears in concert and think they were AMAZING.... oy... some people never heard of lip syncing or something..... I give mad props to anyone that actually SINGS while they are on stage and dancing around etc. I cant stand lip syncing i see no POINT... Angry

I agree with u malorum... i think it takes a lot courage to go up on the stage to really sing too... Applaud as for me i can't stand those ppl who goes on and on about who has a better voice for singing... i for one think that it doesn't solely depend on the voice itself for a singer to be good... but more of the whole song, melody, beats and so on... and the effort he/she takes to sing the song... Wink it's not that i like ppl who can't sing well but like for ex. i like this singer cecilia cheung and my frens goes saying she can't sing for nuts as compared to sun yanzi.. well in a way it is true but i still like her songs... both of them actually... just that some ppl are born with the talent and some r not but do put the effort to improve... Applaud
