lazy_bum: I remember a while back some people on this thread said that the guys do sing live at their concerts and their voices are dubbed on the dvd version because of over-all sound quality...but I'm not entirely sure about that. I just always figured they were lipsyncing, but that Sho rapped live.
Either way, it's still great watching them get so into singing and dancing to their music. Ultimately, the fans can also pick up on this energy, ne?
By the way, I really like the saying in your signature. It's very true.
i think that there's a mixture of completely live parts and some lipsynched parts in the concert, which makes sense since it's 2 hours+ of jumping around. some parts of songs are clearing lipsynched, and of course like someone else pointed out, they have some of their own vocals on as backup ^^ _________________

thanks bout the sig.. i got the idea after talking to someone... being immature is not really a bad thing..or so i think.. take nino's immaturity for instance (talking about the coughing of blood)..that was something.. hehe.. (still can't get ohno's look out of my head...ehehehe)

Yeah, I think a good dose of immaturity is always needed. Sometimes I like to think that it takes a mature person to realize that they are still maturing...does that makes sense? I like that Nino pulls pranks because it gets to show the fun/relaxed side of the guys. Though I must admit, I also liked it when Nino and the rest of Arashi played a joke on one of their guests...Jun was so convincing, he really brought out those acting skills!!!
And you're right, Ohno's reaction to the coughed-up blood was priceless ...and it was great to see Sho start laughing at him!!!
For those who wanted to see, although its sad that they cant even have private lives without it being broadcast everywhere. by no means did it "ruin" an image I had of Aiba but strengthened it and they are straight guys in their 20s.....with that said I like the pics....
some people can't handle seeing the pics, pm me
As for lipsyncing, I havent really noticed any, but there are prereorded backing vocals...I usually spot lipsyncing as I dispise it and dont support artists who do it....gonna go watch lives now

I think the girl with aiba is pretty... Its nice to know he's a normal straight guy.... And has someone special to love.... i would like my idols to have someone special to share their happiness with... Shame those rauchy private photos have ended up in the public domain...they look happy together... I wish my idols happiness... its harsh for them not being able to have a relationship without everyone priving... I bet the media was having a field day with these photo.... and fangirls... i bet they went crazy pshyco-killer mode.... i support my idols... eventually i would like to see them get married and have children... you know they have to pass down those wonderful genes.......

Actually Johnnys has a thing of max-allowing the boys to lip-sinc in lives (like in MS, Hey3 etc) But they must sing live in their own concerts.

Yup ^^ I'm okay with them occasionally lip-syncing coz I know that they can actually sing
According to my... collection of 82 arashi lives, I see that they rarely lip-synced in their earlier stages.. but they ended up going out of tune coz of all the dancing :/
But then.. in some lives where they really sang but did not dance much, they still went way out of tune and I just kinda ignore the fact
Forgive me for my weird habit.. but everytime I watch a live (of all artists), I always pick out whether it's fake or real (the singing)... Somehow it's unfair to them, but to me I think it's good to know what they're really up to
Don't worry *pats freaking-out fangurls* Arashi can sing, and sometimes when they don't lip-sync they can still sing really well... I guess it's just luck

Actually they improve the quality of the sound not their voices. *starts av team rambling* They kinda adjust the threshold n stuff, coz the original track was directly recorded from their microphones... Then they have to merge it with the fangurl screams recorded from other places in the stadium to make it natural to watch. (Mics in concerts cannot record the screams altho they are really loud) So in the DVDs they're just a refined version of their real singing
