how long have u guys been L'Arc~en~Ciel fans and Hyde fans?
how did u guys become interested?
darn....Laruku should come back to the US!!!!!
still can't get over the fact that i missed the Smile Tour 2004 at the Otakon Convention in Maryland. it'll only cost me about $50 or so to go to the Otakon convention and to watch Laruku's was free as long u paid for the convention. and i'll probably cost gas money if to drive to Maryland, still it would've been worth it. (dun mind me, i've complaining about this fact for a while. needed to get it out)

I must agree, I immediately recognised tetsu and Yukihiro, but what's wrong with ken? I've hardly seen him smile, so shouldn't hyde have rather drawn a cigaret? It looks really good though!

In about 1 week I will have been into them for a year. Not too long, but I became slightly obsessed and was able to get all of their albums within 3 months, and then all of their PVs soon followed.
How I found out about them is sort of interesting. One of my best friends and I are huge anime fans, but he's even worse than I am. One day I was over at his house looking at some anime series he had burned onto CDs and DVDs. After popping one in my laptop I noticed a video file that seemed out of place in the list of anime episodes on the disk, it was called "Dive to Blue." The name seemed really odd to me so I thought I would click on it, wondering if it was just some messed up internet video of any variety things.
I was, of course, wrong. It turned out to be a fun PV with a really odd but cool band (I loved it when Yukihiro was playing just the snare drum in the hallway and sort of dancing along, and then I just loved Ken's pants). At first I only kind of liked the music itself. It was, and still is, quite different from what I typically listen to, but I always liked a fair number of anime theme songs here and there. So even though I only sort of liked the song at first, I felt a huge urge to check out more of their stuff. So I got the two or three other PVs that my friend had, and I'll say my obsession quickly began after I watched the Stay Away PV a few times.

I knew l'Arc en Ciel because I visited j-music's pages and always I saw his name. I thought that it was strange that a Japanese band had French name, for it I began to hear his music. The first song that I heard was "Shallow Sleep" I fell in love to the Hyde's voice!! And then I downloaded information and music.

Does anybody has the pv of any of the songs of ectomorphed works?! Oh, and have y'all read about that at a spiritual show (or something like that) in Japan where Tetchan was the guest... and the hostess was making him feel like crap, telling him to change the way he is... that he's unhappy with his life and why is that... and stuff like that?!
Well is something like that, the thing is that Tetsu was feeling awful... dunno, I haven't seen the show, but if I find it I'll dwld it.
EDIT: ooops, didn't refresh the page, so didn't see your post Synominous, hehe. _________________

Hmmmm...I think it has not been quite a year for me yet =) I became obssessed quite quickly though...hee hee. I had
just discovered the wonderful world of bit-torrent and downloaded the Killing Me single. I liked it, so downloaded
a few more of their songs/albums to check them out. I also was able to see a few lives, and the live of
Hitomi no Jyuunin just blew me away. hyde's vocals were so impressive, I just had to see/hear more of them.
Then I bought all of their CDs/DVDs and went crazy listening to all of their albums and watching as many lives
as I could...I've really come to love their music. I think they are all so talented and their music so original.
I really respect them and never get tired of listening to any of their songs =)

btw, does anyone have the Killing Me performances at Music Station and Pop Jam (not the Kobe special)?
Sorry pochipochi, I didn't forget about this...just that the site has been down for a while, and I didn't get a chance to post
I have the Music Station performance of Killing Me, but the only Pop Jam performance I have is the Kobe one (I had three files labeled as Killing Me Pop Jam, I figured one had to be different than the Kobe special, but nope, all three were of the same performance!! ). Sooo..if anyone else has a Killing Me performance on Pop Jam other than the Kobe special, I'd love to see that too
thx for sharing those pics, that from nagoya concert right. it's kindda strange that hyde dress like pope. i like the uniform stuff

For me... it started the first days of july. I went to rebecam's house to study and her sister showed me some old videos. Blurry eyes got me in the first second I listened to it, and then the same day we saw Grand Cross Conclusion and then my obsesion started. And it became a bigger obsesion when I started to pay more attention to them while they were performing (specially Tetsu with the bass and Yuki in the drums) and I discovered that THEY'RE AWESOME!!! And also Hyde's voice and Ken's way to play the guitar... they are just way too good to be true. _________________
