Don't sweat it. I know how you might feel and I do get upset when people use the race thing to explain their ill-treatment all of the time. But it does happen, quite often. Especially since I live here in the south. I see it all of the time . But Your friend did leave the line and I do think that she did over react a little. The people that I talked about in my last post just acted like complete and total jerks. They were talking about the guy behind his back for no reason. I mean, true enough, they didn't like the way that he spoke. But that was the way that the guy grew up talking; and not just him, but a large percentage of African Americans. So I think that what they did was very very disrespectful and stupid.
What Enna meant by her comment (that you didn't understand) was that the reason why those "ghetto" people complain about being treated badly because of their race is because they have been treated badly at times because they are ghetto and African-American. The anger and accusations had to stem from somewhere.
I don't think that your friend should accuse you guys of doing it because as friends I'm sure that you see her as an equal...at least I hope you do. But its kind of hard to shake the feeling of rejection and ill-treatment when you've been treated that way on several occations. In another thread I spoke about how I jokingly said to one of my friends that nattou was the grossest thing in the world. She got so mad and said "Seriously...don't make fun of other people's culture." I didn't really mean that it was the grossest thing in the world literally, its just a figure of speech here in the US. I apologized, and she in turn told me that she'd over reacted. But I guess she's used to having to defend her race and her culture all the time. So it happens.
You should just talk to her and let her know that you're not about treating her a certain way or differently than all of your other friends (personal and mutual) just because she's black. Just have a heart to heart with her and let her know that it bothers you when she does that to you. _________________

i dont mean to be stubborn but yes i understood what she said. i used to take hiphop classes and overrated racial issues (specially about african-americans) is the center of it all. i am aware of how people have been called "ghetto" btw they are and how they were raised, yes im used to it cuz i face that everyday too, was it wrong for me to snap at least a day cuz i was in a bad mood at that time? maybe so. what i said in my previous post doesnt intend to push anyone off, i dont think you read my whole message here.
i guess when i said that it was the other way around, i meant by how people treat me more than she does. honestly nobody has ever treat'n her badly before, for 1) that was her first time goin on a fast food restaurant.. 2) she only goes to rich parties and other occasions, 3) she loves to joke around and sometimes she does take advantage of her situation.
but i appreciate for the advices yall been giving me, she does have a way with 'our friendship' people do have their own ways, its a moment where you think everythings alright but she has a different point of view in her side... but talking doesnt help. cuz the person only change if she only realizes her faults. i should introduce yall to another friend of mine who doesnt listen but she seeks help/advices all the time. I'm pretty much tired of giving advices to a person who actually doesn't listen. Well, this person basically said that she asked for my advice. I was being a good listener and then of course as a good friend I gave her some feedbacks and suggestion. Guess what, she just didn't really give a damn about those advices. Yet, she kept on doing that again and again..I felt so irked and decided to avoid. So..well, my attitude is just this..you ask my advice you like it you can take if you don't ..oh well WTH..I don't care.
I don't like doing a long rant in a forum, and this forum is not my personal blog either..lol..so I guess that would be all.

I sure did read the whole thing and was actually agreeing with you. I guess that didn't come through too clearly in my post. All that I was saying was that I had a reason to be angry with my class mates, but that your friend took things the wrong way. Hope that clears things up. The one thing that bothers me is that when non-oritental people say;
"All asian's look the same!"
"Chinese? Japanese? what's the difference?!"
"All those asian languages sound the same!!"
Look buddy; ALL asian's DO NOT look the same [unless twins?] and there is a BIG Difference between each asian language and culture! WE Have our won style of Language and tradition! and ALL Asian Languages DO NOT sound the same! WE have DIFFERENT style of talking, writing, and SPEAKING
Especialy when they try to say Chinese language...Jest jibberish that don't even make sense, they don't even know chinese! Or they try to talk some asian language which they are not actualy speaking! for example:
This girl made a song [a girl whom I dislike] she made a song that was called "JAPAN" even though she does not know nothing about Japan or Japanese language. In her song she says "I want to be JAPAN.." [then tried to talk Japanese], instead she says.."shing la wa sho shi jin na blah" [some jibberish..]
I was on a skating trip for my school. I was walking on the ice to go back to the lobby, beacuase I was cold. While I was walking these two boys [canadian boys] was saying to me while passing by, "shing la wo tsu ching ba heg...ahaha chinese chin chu" [okay, trying to speak chinese to me]
I don't even know these guys! Jeez it pisses me off soh much. Even though I don't really know Chinese that much I know a little, Since I'm half Chinese but do people really have to say all this bullshit?!
I do mind, but I jest let it pass and I wait until I it goes out of line. _________________

Oh, well now she's just a b&*%^. I'm not Asian at all and I can hear a big difference in ALL Asian languages. People just don't take the time to recognize stuff. This girl that I work with told one of our co-workers, a postdoc from China, "I thought I saw you this weekend but I wasn't sure because all Chinese people look alike to me. So I just didn't say anything at all. Otherwise I would have at least said hi." I was like "Um...hey, do you think that you could have been any ruder?" That was just so ridiculous. _________________

First of all, it is not your responsibility to clean the mess that was already there in the first place.
Second of all, it is NOT his business to tell you off for something that is so minor and silly. Besides the people at Jack In the Box are their to serve customers and clean. on a side note though, if it was my own food and i was done, i would have probably cleaned it off, but that is besides the point.
Thirdly, I dislike racial discrimination. I had to deal with it a little in Highschool, long ago. and it sucks. People shouldn't be so blind and stupid to offend and cut down other races. Do "we" offend others and call people racial slurs, I don't think so. That hispanic man should not have to resort to doing such childish and ignorant behavior. I am sorry you and your friends had to experience such discrimination.
Finally, as a "chinese" myself, and we as "asians", I commend you for your courage and efforts. Hopefully stupidity in the public doesn't occur too often.

That sorta things annoy me alot too. Usually over here in the Netherlands, it's those damn pesky morrocan kids. even though they are being discriminated/hated most of the ethnic groups here, they still manage to look down on other people like asians. they go like chingchang chong yelow this etc etc. now I'm not about to hit a little kid, but then their parents are standing next to them and don't say a word! i mean wtf! no wonder their kids are the scum of society when mom n dad don't even care to teach their children some values. sometimes I just swear back at them in their own language. but nowadays I just ignore them, not because I'm afraid. It's just not worth my time. but yeah, disrespect one muslim suddenly they go jihad on you
last time was funny though, this black dude (drunk) came up to me in the bus, (yes the one time I take the bus to work) asking me: yo chinaman! since I was listening to my ipod I didn't really hear him so he went on chinaman! so i took out my earplug and said what?! the drunkie said: you from china? I answered: No. how about you, you from Jamaica (cos he was dressed like a rasta and everything, with jamaican flag on his t-shirt) He said no. Me: are you fake then? the people on the bus had a great laugh, haha. but then I had to get off.

Hello...?! Everyone knows; in my school I take full pride of being asian and this stupid guy comes up and tells me i'm not asian.. That pisses me off.. that immature kid was half asian half white.
I have another thing that bothers me.. that immature kid says he's Buddhist and he also said that he "never" lies whenever he says "I Swear to Buddha this or that, becuase I am Buddhist." then guess what? He would lie on that "swear to Buddha thing.. He also said he was "full" asian, okay buddy yeur half white. Then he goes around dissing white people like WTF? why do people say you're not asian, are u really? hehe i have a cousin who looks mestisa (pretty) and people thinks shes white but shes really 100% filipino. i guess just ignore that guy, id get pissed too but you dont need to explain yourself to someone who understand cuz just by looking at his case.. he shouldnt be swearing in the first place the kid is messed up in the head or doesnt know what hes talking about. he'll get his karma one day.

What is starting to really bug me is people jumping the fence in my front yard at night just to "pick" some of the Pears and as I call them "Asian" pears (the really sweet and juicy ones). Its annoying...I really wanna go out there and scare them and do some harm to them (if they don't listen to my first warning) . next time, get some eggs or something you can throw at 'em, and wear a scary mask and yell at them and flash bright lights at them running after them...that will teach those losers....get your younger bro to help out too....and have him come from the side yard from a different angle and different mask....that'll make them think twice before doing it again.

I was a bully when I was younger and I'm a girl. I bullied the bullies . I couldn't stand the way that they picked on other children so I would pick on them. And if they had a problem with it I usually had my brothers and their friends gang up on them . Like I wouldn't know how to beat people up just because I'm a girl . _________________
