Uh, am I the only one bothered by the reek of schadenfreude from this message? Knowing someone else is having a bad day will make your bad day seem better? WTF?

Only the Germans have a single word to describe this situation. I find that interesting.

AS for the little boy. Poor devil, I bet he has learned to watch where he's going now.

It would teach him/her to pay attention to their surroundings, instead of just goofing around. At least it wasn't a car.

Yeah, that kid should have known better. If it had been my kid I would not have felt sorry for him. Mainly because I'd expect him to know better than to play around in a place like that. If it would have been me my parent probably would have made sure that I was okay first. Then, without a doubt, they would have said something like "Why were you running around here in the first place? This isn't a playground and this is not you house! You act like you have no home training Beat You!"

LOL Sad but true. My parents were like that when I was a kid. hehe. I mean, I can't feel sorry for the kid. That's just like this professor who works here at the research institute with me. She lets her kid run up and down the halls like a mad man; knowing full well that people carry chemicals, freaking hot liquids, and radioactive materials up and down the halls all day long Shake Head.

As far as my friend saying the whole "someone's having a much worse day" thing, it was just dry, office humor. Don't take it literally Sweat.

Same here. My folks believe in hard lessons, particularly if I didn't listen to them.
