It's been unusually cool in NorCal with the fog rolling in. Part of me is happy since I'm not sweating just walking to my car, yet I feel like it's a reminder that fall and winter is around the corner. Puppy Dog Eyes Sweat

Haven't gone skiing, yet alone snowboard, for years now. Which means this winter is the time for me to go back. And since the wifey hasn't skiied for some time either, it'll be a perfect time to do it.

i hear Mammoth is quite good, and the snow is better there.
not sure if i been to mt. high, might've went to summit, but the three times that i have been boarding was at big bear, and it was fun. Damn i was sore the next day. But i think it is easy to get the hang of it. One time, i went with some friends and it started pouring freezing rain, outside and they started getting giving credit or half day refunds to the people. Fortunately we got there early enough to get a decent snowboarding day in, before the rain really kicked in that day.

Mammoth was EXCELLENT this past season... the snowfall was crazy, and fresh pow could be had weekly.
it's so worth the 4 hour drive, esp if you have friends you can crash up there with. Lift tix get expensive though, if you dont have a season pass.

im rather broke this year, so no large trips probably.
