rows of these numerous and convenient vending machines everywhere, all over japan. The snacks/drinks out of these machines are the best, and i wanted to take one home, realistically, some photos will do.
here's one in Harajuku.

Well, I'm legal this year by Japan's standards (which is 20 years old). So you bet I'll check them out as soon as I can.
check out my website below, posted some weblog pix of my recent japan trip, and some of which has some vending machine pix, one of a beer vending machine.
wow, been legal drinking age for many years now....
they had the regular vending machines about everywhere, some beer machines, and cigarettes, and some other food ones, but haven't seen the weird ones, maybe out in the country side, but not in Tokyo..

Yeah, the thing is over there is that legal age is 20. Which means that they can only smoke legally over there when they're 20 as opposed to over here where it's 18. I actually learned this from Japanese class.

lol it was always very funny when we were drinking and people just asked for my age (second most popular question in Japan, besides, "what country are you from").. and I replied 19.. they were always shocked but they seemed to accept my excuse that in holland you can drink from 16 :-)
Ps: what you think of this animated gif i made in my sig :-p it says "I like girls" in case you can't read it :-) _________________
