i've been putting off watching sekai no chuusin de since i heard its a sad story and i dont really look forward to sad series.
Anyway, I got the first 6 eps from a friend so I watched and it is really good. Very touching film, I watched 4 eps straight and am eager to get the rest of the eps asap.

Anyway, if you guys and gals havent seen it yet, you ought to give it a try...

it's delightful because it's based on a shoujo manga aimed at women....i guess it works. i enjoyed it somewhat but the storyline was a bit too ricockulous for me....like brian peppers.

Risou no Joushi (Ideal Boss) -- 1997 --

I got this show because it features Nagatsuka Koyzo and Fubuki Jun as a married couple.

They're not pop stars. And they're not sexy young things anymore (Kimura Yoshino fills that bill in this series). They're actors. Pros. And I really like both of them. Seeing either of their names in a cast list makes me want to grab a series.

This is another of those small, office/family heart-warming comedy/dramas from TBS.

And it's the sort of meat and potatoes series that keeps me watching Japanese TV.

No flash, and a simple plot, but the people in the show have completely endeared themselves to me.

about to start ep 6 in a minute... so far it's pretty good, though the "that's why ill never ****** ***" every 10 minutes is kinda driving me crazy. Im sure there's a reason they did that, and I would speculate, but it would turn this post into a spoiler'ish type thing.

SOS seemed to be a weird drama afterwards... Sweat

I'm personally biased towards Long Vacation. It's one of the first dramas I ever watched that eventually got me hooked.

Just finished watching long vacation, excellent stuff!
Might start another series tonight, got quite a few apparently good ones sitting around that I havent started yet; Orange days, good luck, summer snow. Or I just just rewatch forbidden love!

I'm biased toward Long Vacation because it's easily one of the best shows I've ever seen.

I'd been pretty nonchalant about Japanese TV. Watching the weekend shows, but not taping them... rarely trading for them.

Shows like Long Vacation... especially Long Vacation... turned me into a red eyed, drooling, completely obsessed, sleep-deprived, looney.

Which might not be as good a thing as I make it sound.
