If a file is incomplete, it means its INCOMPLETE - some parts are missing, so you can not watch an ENTIRE file.
Is that so hard to comprehend? INCOMPLETE is NOT a synonym for ENTIRE or COMPLETE.

Of course you can watch incomplete divx file if enough info/data is available and the index fixed.
There is no need for any ingenuity to do that.
Of course in mpeg files you dont need to fix it.

LMAO.. I believe that I'm being disparaged here.. Rolling eyes

So it wasn't aimed at you Pemu

Didnt see anyone mentioning grabbing divfix nor getting the index fixed etc etc.. but then that's neither here nor there..

thank you so much ren!!! but i'm still confused.

i've just d/l DivX_311alpha and i've click onto Register_DivX.exe to install it, is it correct? cuz when i clicked onto it, it asked me whether i wanna install, so i clicked yes and something started running. after that, nothing much happened. The question i wanna ask is, how do i use it? i've tried reading DivX MPEG4 Video Codec.txt but i still can't understand what it meant....

so wanted to ask these questions:
1) how to use this?
2) if i've d/l the wrong one, which one should i d/l? i've tried searching for the codec of the dorama i've d/l. the audio is MPEG Layer-3 Decoder while the video's codec is unknown...

thank you so much for replying this thread.. THANK YOU!!!

Well just click on Register_DivX.exe to install it. After that window media will be able to view the video. Don't worry about dl the wrong one it won't do any harm, the codec and divx are just add-on that let window media or other video player to diplay video. if you play the video now u will see.

there are actually more than 10 i think. I prefer Azureus 2.0.3 since it allows multiple downloads, shared upload bandwidth and automatic start/stop seeding depending on uploaders:leechers ratio.

Dont use the older versions though since it consumes lots of resources (cpu and memory).

I use the lastest version of shadow's experimental 5.8.3. But that's what I've been using ever since I've discovered BT.

The Azureus has a nice GUI, but it looks like it takes more cpu power? The Burst! one from the screenshots, looks like it supports multiple downloads (instead of one window for each download with Shadow)? I think I'll give that one a try.

But I'm only running on a Celeron466 comp, so I would prefer the one which uses least cpu power. With Shadow, I can do 4 downloads without any significant slowdown. How are the other clients in terms of cpu usage?
