Don't worry, you're not the only one who dislikes g2.
in fact, i don't like kattun coz of g2.
they made a mess of shin's gokusen to me. i mean they could have gotten a stronger cast and written better scripts for a sequel. i just felt like i fell off a cliff with disappointment in g2.
where jun acted so hard, those kt guys just sort of 'posed' throughout the show, like posters. gosh... i so dislike blatant idol marketing in dramas!
of course, not just the cast, the script sucks too. they should do a new formula instead of just replicating the old.

that's why i said poor yankumi , still didn't get his true love. why they didn't maintain the shinoharasan character in gokusen 2? and 4 the student i prefer the old one . go sawada shin and the gang
I, too, got the distinct impression that Shin was jealous of Shinohara-san! For example, the first (subtle) inkling of this was when Yankumi thought that Shinohara was going to marry some woman (who turned out to be his sister marrying someone else!) When she asked Shin something like "Do you think he's going to marry her?" he said, "Probably." I think he wanted Yankumi to forget about Shinohara!
Another scene is when Shinohara asks her out to dinner and the whole class is watching--Yankumi says something like she is the happiest person alive--and Shin is watching with a serious expression on his face.
Also at the end he says to count him in amongst the rivals who are going to pursue Yankumi! That didn't come out of the blue--you could see the growing feelings of him towards Yankumi through the whole season.
I miss Gokusen. I miss Sawada! I know people vehemently disagree with this, but I'm one of those who secretly hope there will be a Gokusen 3 with Sawada coming back... (If they get excellent writers and not cobble something together half-heartedly.)
I miss him too. But I have to whole serie, so I can watch it when I want.
And at the end of the last episod? When Shinohara, and Tetsu are standing with Shinohara's partner, and he says:"Then we 3 are rivals?" And Shin turns back and says: "No, there are four of us". It was sooo funny.
I knew from the first episode, that Shin was in love with Yankumi. It was so obvious. That's why Shin never looked in Yankumi's eyes. _________________

I know how you feel. One of my friends borrowed my Gokusen too, and she took back almost in a half year. I was sick without my favourite. _________________
....the first season kinda of left me hanging w/ the relationship btw yankumi and shin...the part where shin said " sorry make it four" .....i thought the special was gonna solve that ...but it only showed the graduation.....hope they at least make another special with the orginal cast from season 1...shin is soooo adorable..just love the parts where shin looks at yankumi and smile ...and yankumi is too cute..she is just clueless sometimes ...just couldn't help hoping that there was a bit more to shin and yankumi relationship....shin always watching over yankumi...loved the part in 12 where he went to her house and was afraid she be depress it was sooo sweet of him
