as far as I know the name of the show is just Otogizoushi  it's a decent show.

I was a little confused too. Maybe like me, you are not familiar with the original game/story? It seems to me that the movie was really made for the fans of the original game, and they would probably like it a lot. So the movie was really missing the background story and character development you'd expect from a more standalone work. The CG was mostly good, but I thought they did a horrible job on hands, which often came out looking like clumsy rubber appendages. The best character modeling was probably the Cloud character, but the worst was some of the children who looked like weird little zombies at times. The fight scenes were complex and detailed but often were too fast sometimes to understand. Might as well be viewing a polygon salad. I thought the funniest part was the leadup to the big fight in the town plaza when the monsters scared the crowd. The crowd started to run all over the place, and you could see them and hear them for quite some time. Where were they running? Just around and around.
