i think nakama yukie was a crucial factor in gokusen's success but i also think jun was... i watched this show and fell in looove with jun (so i didnt know about him beforehand)... i think he did a really convincing job in gokusen (when i saw him in other dramas with completely diff personalities, i was COMPLETELY shocked). i think that cute little face he has when he sees yankumi and is jealous is the most adorable thing ever. and i think he and nakama yukie had good chemistry... (though i just read somewhere that they were dating for two years?!?!?! is that true?!)
i just watched gokusen 2 over the weekend and didnt think it was as good as gokusen... i kinda liked two of the guys b/c they were kinda cute and their characters were great but it was nothing like the original... both were predictable and feel good stories, but gokusen 1 was just *that* much better with sawada and the unique characters... i felt like in the second one, the five bad boys had so many similarities to certain original characters in gokusen 1 and it just... it wasnt the original, and seemed repetitive. and i missed sawada but anyway im gonna stop rambling now... _________________

Thanks for the heads up! I just got the Semptember 8th file - Don't know how I missed that, it's on the home page!
And yes, it would be wonderful if you could upload Gokusen, if it's not too much trouble. Onegaishimasu!
If they were to ever make a Gokusen 3 (and I admit, I would love it! regardless of who the students are ^_^) I think they should bring back Sawada Shin... as a teacher ^_^ He was the smartest one in the class, I think now that it has been a few years, him getting a teaching certificate and taking on his own first class at the same school Yankumi teaches at would be interesting Excuse me while I wander off in a ShinKumi daze...
Oh, before I wander off, I see on the official NTV Gokusen drama site that there will be another Gokusen special on October 8th. A reunion special of some sort. I am going to assume that this is another special that is just recaps from the last season and no new stuff. New stuff seems like too much to hope for....

hi minna!! dunno if there's a gokusen 2 thread... i couldnt find it, maybe im just dumb but for those who watched gokusen 2, do u know the name of the theme songs?? not t he ending song (d-51's no more cry), but the really mellow one that they often play during pivotal moments in the show? ack, if anyone knows what it is, or where to get it... i would be soooo happy arigatou!!!!! _________________

watching gokusen right now....now on episode 10
started watching it since....yesterday???
love the scenes everytime yankumi's students got into trouble and she will their to protect them..
like also the scene when yankumi turn her language into yakuza...
i don't know having kusano from NEWS just doesn't really fit, in my opinon, like if it was him, it would be kinda just throwing him in for the part, cause like matsujun is really popular from arashi, and that made sence cause it made him even more popular, and then there was kame and jin from kat tun, and they are like already super popular, but kusano? its kinda like just giving him the role for no reason, with yammap thats just too much, i think if yammap was in it, i would get sick of him, ya ya yah wouldn't be a bad choice but they are too young.
if it had to be someone from NEWS i would have to say someone like kato or tegoshi, (maybe ryo, possibly uchi, but those are my wild cards, cause they've been in other stuff, and if it is, its kinda gonna be another kame and jin pairing), cause i see them (kato and tegoshi) fit for the role, with acting background, and they have this maturity to them, that i think would be good in gokusen 3, if there is one. also if there is a gokusen 3, it would probably be out in the end of 2006, or in 2007, and by then kato and tegoshi would be at a good age to play the role, like matsujun. ok i have more to say but i am ranting, so i am stopping ahead of time,
and one more thing, if there really is gonna be a gokusen 3, and i am totally wrong or totally right about the cast, i wouldn't care who from NEWS is acting, cause i love them all sooooo much! \(^o^)/

First want to say, yeah you consider Kato a nice actor, and second, I dunno I like Kato, but I can't picture him as a bad boy, more of the ggod-boy trying to help others, possibly like Mokomichi's role...
Tegoshi might be good for the role, but not sure, I haven't seen him in too much stuff besides 15sai no Blues, which he did great in..but some NewS members don't seem to fit the part. I think either Nishikido, Koyama, or Uchi would be very good, they hve the attitudes, but of course they're too old....
But what would the story line be for the 3rd Season, I mean it's kind of the same... _________________

Uchi's not too old.. He just turned 19... Jin's way older than him ne.. So, I dont think age plays a role here.. Coz they look young~
I think..there wont be a Gokusen 3.. Maybe we got confused with the Gokusen 2 SP eh?

Yeah i agree, it's not a matter with age...
Like Matsujun who's 23...now he plays again as a school boy in hana yori dango.
So i think it's ok about age...they all look so young, baby face.
