Yup. That's one of the other reasons why it's so expensive.
I should quit my job a be a mechanic.
Heh I work on my own car.
I change the oil, trannmission fluid, I've changed the sparkplugs in both my Subaru's and i changed the spark plug wires on my Impreza.
I need to do some body work now as I had a little crash with a street sign when it was snowing out, I over reacted and slide into the sign, I almost missed it too!
it got the left front of the car and down the left side of the car
My car has been crying ever since then
nevertheless it still gets a good workout as you can see in the video I posted

that's pretty good work you do on your car. I used to change my own oil, and once i changed the spark plugs and rotated the tires. I had a dent in it that i never bother to fix(minor), but as the car got older, i washed/wax it less, and i just brought it in Jiffy Lube to get the oil changed. Once in awhile, i would bring it in for a tune up and once had the Struts replaced, and i think the water pump, and dist. rotor cap, and one of the belts needed to be fixed, that was expensive over all, but not as much as BMW's repairs on his car.
The fact that my car is 11 years old doesn't help the cost either, I'm sure...
And the fact that the dealer is doing the repair.
Not much of a choice on a Saturday.
yeah, you gotta do what you gotta do for your car. 11 years old....my car was about that too, and i didn't get much for it considering it was a reliable car, but it was over 100,000 miles, and it significantly lowers the value of it. I think the Japanese made cars are built to last, mine did for me at 160,000 miles.

bmw, sorry about your car. That must hurt major!
In '99-'01, I had a 1987 Prelude that was all good. Until I crashed it. Got it fixed (I think I paid around $600-$700) and it was all good again. _________________

Ugh, one day after my b-day, my differential lets go.
It's gonna cost me $4500...
Ouch!
Sorry amigo.
Seriously, now's the time to consider putting that money toward a new car instead of toward the existing repairs. If you haven't already forked over the dough.
