Yuu Ah Berry Welcome hehe

Yea, its a very entertaining video. Definately cute in it.

I would have to choose between vids where she is at her cutest, its either in this or the Matthew Best Hit where she acts out the love scenes or the first Matthew's she was on (the one where she plays that game where she pops the balloon with a sword) I think she really cute in these three.

So the Japanese release version of Azumi 2 doesn't come with English subs??? or does it??
Little photobook came with it. SWEET w00t! Dancing
I didn't pre-order the Azumi 2 movie....still don't know how or when I will get it Sweat

So in the end....you think the First Azumi was better done overall?? the directing, script, and all that good stuff

No subs on the dvd, but it only takes about an hour to add subs to a dvd. The dvd is good quality, though not as good as I was expecting from such a new film. I wouldn't be surprised if the british dvd uses the same transfer.

And yeah, the first Azumi was definitely better. The biggest problem with Azumi 2 is the script. The story has absolutely no surprising elements. And there isn't much story really. What we have here is just an excuse for action scenes. The first 30 minutes of the film is pretty bad actually. We don't have much action, which brings up the problems with the script. Characters are more or less boring, too. After the first half an hour we start getting kick-ass action scenes every 10 minutes, and the film becomes very enjoyable.

Action scenes are not quite as good as in the first film (which was to be expected as there's no Kitamura anymore) but they feature some interesting weapons and fighting techniques. The film is also a lot gorier that the first part, which is of course a good thing. A couple of times it even reminded me of Lone Wolf & Cub series, though this isn't nearly as violent. Aya (and other actors) seems a bit slow in some action scenes, but good editing saves a lot.

The ending is a bit of a let down, but it's not so bad if you are prepared for it. Overall Azumi 2 works very well once we get through the first 30 minutes. Storywise this is a missed opportunity, but if you can get past that, and don't compare it to the original film, then it's a nice and entertaining sequel.
