Thats one of characteristics of Aya that we seem to agree on.
To me, her liking sports is enough to make her a tomboy. Not saying dancing isn't a sport, but she seems to like the tougher type of sports....like she did try that one surfing thing as she mentioned on the Dohmoto talk show and then she does sports drama like Volleyball and Tennis, which she had to learn.
I think in the way she dresses sometimes shows that she still a tomboy as well, but not much now, which is all good by me too. She looks beautiful and cute too in some of the clothes she wears now _________________

Nitenwarrior, welcome to Aya thread
"disproportionately cute"???? I'll assume this is a good statement....just the word disproportionate makes me wonder how she is cute in that sort of way
I think he means that Aya got more than her fair share of cuteness. It's like the cuteness factor was sucked out of a million women and concentrated in this one girl!
And then, if that wasn't enough, she also got a huge dose of the "nice" factor. What a combination!
The result? Hundreds (thousands? millions?) of guys (and girls) like us attending concerts, buying her stuff, filling 492 forum pages with everything "Aya" and having cardiac arrest wtih every new image.
The power of genetics!
If I were an intelligent girl with a terrific personality but only average looks I might think to myself "life isn't fair". And I'd be right.
But that doesn't change things because we're all neurologically hard-wired to respond to this stimulus.
And what great or meaningful thing would our collective Goddess do if she had only one week to live??? She'd gorge herself!
(she was probably starving on some diet when that answer popped out).
Hey it doesn't matter... she's Aya, she's nice, she's unbelievably cute, and it works for me!

Ohh.....ok.
Yea, Aya is very cute. Most of her pics I'd say she is cute, some beaitful, rarely do I use the word "sexy" and using all 3 to describe her in one pic is rare even more so.
Huge dose of Nice. Yes
492 pages of Aya goodies
This thread will continue to grow in time do to All the Aya fans here commenting and contributing
Aya loves to eat I'm amazed she can keep her figure. She must either work hard at it, or she got great metabolism.....reminds me of Goku from Dragonball....eats eats and eats but doesn't get fat
I hope she changes her diet to include a little bit of meat in there. She seems to eat a little too healthy
I love Aya for who she is then, now, and hope she will remain who she is now in the future _________________

I think she's it's great that she doesn't eat much meat (because it isn't healthy to do so) but I hope she IS getting some high quality source of protein like CFM Whey Protein (which is where I get most of my protein).
I didn't realize that she was a health fanatic, but if she is, that is one more reason to love this incredible girl!

Yessss, meat, meat, more meat! I'm mostly a predator when it comes to eating, but I guess it's bad to lean towards extremes (carnivorous, vegetarianism), so I hope Aya is gravitating in the middle.
Ermm, what is this "high quality source of protein / CFM Whey Protein", isn't it better if acquired from natural sources

Whey Protein powder is natural--it's derrived from milk. CFM = Cross Flow Microfiltration which is a natural, non-chemical process used to isolate the protein (far superior to the ion exchange process more commonly used). Contains a wide spectrum of amino acids. This is the highest quality protein available today with many health benefits including increased immunity, anti-carcinogenic, antiviral, antioxidant.
Meat has problems because:
1) contamination with hormones and other chemicals.
2) beef - high levels of arachadonic acid (precursor to harmful eicosanoids)
3) high levels of saturated fats and cholesterols
4) Bacterial infection possible ( E. coli, salmonella)
5) Mad Cow disease (fortunately Japan inspects EVERY cow before slaughter)
6) Slow to digest resulting in harmful buildup of digestive tract toxins
Better alternatives:
CFM Whey Protein Powder
Soy products (tofu etc.)
Fish (particularly species high in Omega 3 FA)

Freefall - As usual YOU seem to capture precisely the Aya that has captured me. Can you please post a full-size pic of that amazing signature closeup you just added!
Freefall - I'm in the same situation--wanting to learn Japanese but I have very little time. My solution is this great software program I bought several years ago, but which still works great on an XP computer:
Power Japanese
I'm really impressed with how effective this program is. I study about 30 minutes a day and I'm really starting to show a little progress.
There may be even better programs out there now, but this is one that I can strongly recommend!
Sure, I made some quick caps from Kou Kou Kyoushi a while ago which this one is from. ILll upload some later when ILm home.
Thanks for the link to the Japanese learning software. ILll give it a try. ILve got a few e-books and videos already but time is the biggest problem.
edit:
@Methuselah: Thank you for the detailed explanation, but I have a filling that I'd rather have, for example - a Serbian grill with a glass of Karnobatska Muskatova rakia, than something in form of powder or pills. Anyway enough with food, peace
