Aya attended the 2005 Best Hair Awards on the 18th in Kyoto where she was crowned winner. She responded that she was very honored and very happy to receive a fashion prize. Aya also revealed that she only needed to have long hair for her role in NHK's taiga drama "Yoshitsune", Aya's scenes being completed, her next hairstyle will be a short one. To the question "What haircut do you prefer on a man?" Aya answered that she likes closely cropped hair.

Hi All!

We're all here because of our love/admiration for Aya Ueto.

Right now there is an IMMEDIATE crisis facing the world. What better way to show our love for Aya than joining together to do something for those suffering from the earthquake that devastated parts of Pakistan, India and Afghanistan!

Already an estimated 48,000 people have been killed.

It is estimated that another 40,000 to 50,000 could die this winter unless they are able to get shelter.

I propose we join together with one purpose:

TO BUY URGENTLY NEEDED WINTER TENTS FOR FAMILIES IN AFGHANITAN, PAKISTAN AND INDIA.

We need to start working out the particulars:

1) Sources of appropriate tents.
2) Cost per tent
3) The means by which we actually get these tents directly to the families that need them.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Of course we could all do this individually, but I think it would be especially meaningful for us to do it as a group on behalf of Aya and by joining resources we can do far more than what any one person could do on their own.

We'll do this because RIGHT NOW there are little kids sleeping out in the cold (and time is running out before severe winter hits that area!!!!!). We'll also do this because it's a way we can spread the the love and kindness we've all felt from Aya.

Everyone who joins with me and contributes will get to add a brief message and signature to a card that we'll send to Aya to let her know what we her fans are doing on her behalf.

Personally I'm struggling finanically big time right now as I attempt to get my business off the ground--so I'm not coming from wealth by ANY means, but I have a warm place to sleep and food and I can't bear the thought of families literally freezing to death from exposure. We can't just sit around waiting for "others" to do this for us. There are times when people simply have to act--and this is one of them.

I'll share more particulars as I work them out, but in the meantime please respond if you are willing to help--even in a small way.

you traditionally wear a wedding band on your ring finger on your right hand.
