kind of agreed about oguri shun being rui^^;; he isnt really the rui i imagined to be. I still think rui should be very delicate, sexy but mysterious at the same time..i think the chinese rui(vic zhou) fits the role more. Since vic Zhou has resemblance to naohito fujiki that played hana yori dango the movie.
Is it me or has shun became really really thin?..anyway i could be biased, gomen..since ive seen shun acted in more outspoken role like in gokusen, etc hehe..
Anyway the lighting sux a big time, and i personally cant figure out why they didnt edit the close up shots..but anyway im definitely going to follow this till the end..oh btw, i think mao as tsukushi is very very cute..and she sure can act^^ Punch scene was the best ever..she rocks!
I still cant say much about jun being tsukasa though^^;; ill wait for more episodes, then ill post up my comments.

i would suggest don't read stuff from china regarding this japanese hyd.
gosh, i was reading lots of forums and articles and there are lots of pathetic and rude feedback!
i'm kind of disillusioned with some chinese people in a way. they can be so narrow minded. i mean years ago, they were bashing the taiwanese mg, and now, they turn around and praise the taiwanese mg (because it's made by 'chinese' - how hypocritical) and bash the japanese hyd. geez...
many already bash the cast like crazy even before watching it! it's just rude and uncalled for.
worse, some just take the opportunity to go on with their 'ban japanese goods' demonstration... geez...
and some articles just reports the forum bashings, which makes it even more negative for folks who were neutral to it!
i got really pissed off reading those posts and so i decided not to read them anymore.
of course, there are also some objective views in some other forums.
but my advice, don't go up the hyd (china) chinese columns!
FINALLY!! i was able to watch the 1st ep with subs! wow! and i was especially HOOKED on Rui! gawd! Shun did so well!
..and i noticed that Jun's face imperfections showed. why was the lighting not so good when the camera focuses on him! hehehe..but still gotta love Jun!
my fave scene was the punch scene! hahaha!
already??? lucky! mines still dling off bittorrent. or.. do you mean you've seen it with the soft subs?

@ Jisatsu - I can't open the hyd manga from Vol. 11 onwards. It saves them as a TAR file and my computer can't recognise it...is there any way that I can extract the files or something?

well, i just watched the 2nd ep and all i can say is jun's really my prince charming. well, he can look so romantically at a girl without me gritting my teeth... ok, i'm probably biased
and shun sort of irritates me here. shouldn't he be the suave, cool guy?
why is he dressed like he's getting married? and i feel it'll be cooler if he didn't smile so much. but still, very kakkoi la! and a great opponent for jun! haha! love it when they glare at each other!
and i think shizuka was much better than i expected. really the graceful heiress or well brought up lady that she's supposed to be, i think.
well, i donno if jun's hair is growing on me or what, but he's really handsome in this ep...
and the last scene was, lmao!!!!
i think it's getting light hearted from next ep on! oh, shit.... another 7 more days to go......

okie, i've waited for 6 hours from the airing time to get it d/led and watched it awhile ago. barring all the distractions from my so called colleagues and clients...
i'm in heaven!! i liked the way they have blended in the scenes from different volumes of the manga into this episode. the makeover scene was corny but it was well done, and tsukushi running around the mansion trying to get out shows how opulent tsukasa's home is.
although they did not show the poster kissing scene and rui kissing tsukushi, it was still well done. the party scene and the last scene!!! something to die for.. it's so cute!!! rotlmao
kakkoiii shun!!! and jealous tsukasa!!!! such smoldering looks.... okie i'm leaving the rest up to your imagination till u watch it for yourself

ok, i read some news on this.
it says that domyoji will start to be more kawaii baka from ep3 onwards (as if i don't know after watching the ep3 trailer... duh...)
and it says that the end of this series at ep 9, is actually ep 18 of the manga. hey anyone knows what this means??
i think the last book on the manga was 30+ right?
so think there'll be hyd part 2??
