Gang riding minibikes attacks cop in Osaka rampage
MSN-Mainichi Daily News: October 31, 2005
TAKATSUKI, Osaka -- A gang of young men with dyed hair and riding on minibikes unleashed three muggings in short succession Sunday, including one attack on an off-duty police officer, police said.
None of the three attacked -- a 23-year-old police officer, an 18-year-old university student and a 24-year-old self-employed man -- were seriously harmed in the muggings, but all lost money and the police officer sustained minor injuries....assailants as all being young with dyed hair and riding together on five minibikes between about 10 of them.
Police said the group rode up behind the officer as he rode his bicycle home in the early hours of Sunday morning and demanded he give them cash. They then set up him, punching him in the face and stomach and stealing the 7,000 yen in cash he had in his wallet.

WTF?
Are they scared, by filming the ride, that you'll be able to open your own theme park? Or is it that you should pay royalties to Universal everytime you watch your movie?
Make sure you watch out for snipers and the movies associations' lawyers!

you're probably right. i suppose paying 5500 yen to get in isn't enough!
i did see a documantary about usj and how they modified some rides so people didn't get as wet their american counterparts. the reason? the average japanese person has a higher standard of dress than an american. i thought that was interesting AND funny!

it's funny but true...when i was in japan i swear i was the only one i ever saw wearing shorts outdoors while travelling around the city....it was funny there was one instance that i was with a friend on the yamanote line and there were these foreigners and we were in the same car and we immediately knew we were all americans just by our clothes...so we started chatting....we were all from los angeles...
