I think that I enjoy this drama the most out of all the other ones this fall season. "Hana Yori Dango" is great, but I already know the storyline so I pretty much know what to expect. In terms of fresh dramas and such, this series is great. Each of the main characters has a unique and likeable personality (after you get to know each one better).
I'm really looking forward to episode 5. I wonder how Nobuta will handle the double date situation and I wonder if Yamashita Tomohisa's character will get jealous. ^_^ _________________

Hi! This is my first posting on jdorama. Haha, tho i've been following this thread for awhile now. Hehehe. im a hugeee fan of kamE & yamap. Love this pairing.!
Watched the first 4 episodes and i love'em. hehe =)

hm. nope. The other is Yamashita Tomohisa from NewS. Haha, the theme song was sang by both yamAp n kamE. Not kat-tun.

Didn't really understand the part why Akira went to Shuji's house with the tiles... I think he said would break off friendship with Shuji if he didn't do the right thing... or something like that.... Anybody can enlighten me??

akira went to shuji's house and said that he was going to threaten shuji, because he can't just stand there and watch nobuta get water dunked on her. so if shuji dunks the water can, akira will get him back for it. so shuji's like "what do you mean?" and akira smashes and tiles and says "that's what you'll become". LOL...

wah there seems to be a bit of confusion about the kamenashi/yamashita duo. kame is from a jpop group called kat-tun, and yamapi is from a jpop group called news. both those groups have become very popular and are produced by the same company, called johnny's entertainment, JE for short. JE decided that they could do wonders by pairing kamenashi and yamashita up as a duo, and produce a drama, and release a single. and so far it looks like it's working!!

i'm new to jdorama.com even though i've been perusing this forum for quite a while and i'm also newbie to jdramas, so please forgive my noob questions.
Nobuta wo Produce is my first jdrama (along with HYD - watching at the same time)...and i must say I really like it. Sure (so far) it has a somewhat cliched plot, but the characters are very entertaining.
I'm just wondering are the two leads, actors playing shuji and the drunk one (forgot his name) a singing duo or something? Initially, i tried to find the answer in this thread but stumbled upon a major spoiler...

shuji is played by kamenashi kazuya of KAT-TUN, while akira is played by yamashita tomohista of NEWS. they are temporarily called Seishun Amigo just for the series and released a single.

She means the Nobuta wo Produce Soundtrack, the japanese chars are the chars for the name ^^

just watched nobuta ep1&2 yesterday....very Good
Kame look very natural as the popular guy, yasashii too...so kind.
My brother even commented "Shuji so kind ne..."
as for P KAWAII!!! man he look good. annoyingly good. Well fit for Akira nutty personality. Good boy *pattingPhead*

Yup, they are trying to "produce" nobuta to become the most popular girl in school. The girl is bullied because she's diffrent from the other students so the boys decided to help her fit in. Plus she has a very deppressing outlook on life.

I dunno but the scene in the cornfield Akira and Nobuko, it's one of my favs so cute and then together on one bike sooo jealous!!
i have only watched episode 1-3... and i dunno if i like it too much... but kame is really cute in it~ im not totally obsess with it... but i for sure enjoy watching it... im very excited about what is going to happen... but i really do wish shuji and nobuta would fall in love... it just wouldn't be good if they didn't... and i don't like the girl that plays shuji's "gf" at all... she isn't pretty in mu opinion... kinda have weird teeth...
and im the only one that things the drunk guy in annoying... everyone thinks he is cute...
