The JK influence in Hawaii is quite impressive.
I rarely heard about Kiyoshi fans though, I only know a few... prolly lesser than 5 people. Pathetic!! He deserves more

Actually, I'm surprised too that Kiyoshi doesn't have a bigger fan base outside of Japan. Within Japan though, I think it's a different story. Everyone that I know from Japan say's that he's very popular there. I heard he sells out his concerts too...which is really great for him.

i think it's because he sings enka... which is not as popular as pop or rock... akiko wada is another example.

I can't confirm this but I've heard that he was named *Hikawa*...the name of a shrine located near his record company...*Hikawa Jinja*.
