^ oh i agree that they're there to promote their single and stuff and i don't expect them to be lil dancing monkeys and stuff. i was just saying, it's weird for usually hyper and loud aiba to be so quiet. but arashi is always so fun to watch on utaban. have you noticed that both leaders from smap and arashi are the oldest yet shortest in the group? hehe. jun is my favorite but i jsut couldn't stop watching ohno during utaban! he's really cuter when he's actually alive and not just in a still picture. whenever i watch utaban with arashi i always feel like this is how they really are, well except for the fights with nakai, but it doesn't feel like they're putting up a front or anything. _________________
Wow I'm so lost...I've missed like 200 pages ...can anyone give me a heads up on what we're talking about now? Maybe I won't be so behind...I really should check up on this site more often...

stand up is really a funny drama that you must watch! nino is so cute inside..keke...
yup u should check out gokusen too... its a very touching drama too..
anyway the utaban talk is so funny! i felt that they are always a very modest group! never putting up on a front.... which makes me likes them so much! their politeness, friendliness...

ah...about people talking about KAT-TUN and arashi...to be honest, kattun are not bad, but i still prefer Arashi...coz in Arashi, all member are being highlighted...every each and one of them have their own "something"....where in KAT-TUN, the popular one is just Kame and Jin, where the other member dont really being highlighted...[its just about fairness]
i dunno if all of you understand what i'm talking about or not..but yeah its like that hehehe

btw, did anyone notice in recent utaban talk 3 [acrobatics] after the older brother fell down, and wanna do the second attempt, Jun-sama make sure that the mat is in a good position with his leg... he is so nice ya??? very nice [i'm being biased here >.< hehe]

i've also got something to say about the arashi v kat-tun thing. i'm an arashi fan, but i have nothing against kat-tun neither. i'm loving the new drama with kame in it. however, the reason i never became a kat-tun fan is probably because of their 'hierarchy' thing too, with kame and jin getting all the spotlight. and the reason i love arashi so much is because all the members are so equal.
lately, i couldn't help but notice the huge difference between kamenashi/yamashita's appearance on utaban, and arashi's appearance. particularly with the acrobatics segment. note how much arashi interacted with the kid, asking if he's alright, saying "sugoi" and clapping and shouting and generally seeming a lot more enthusiastic than kamenashi/yamashita were. note how much more entertaining arashi's appearance on utaban was, between arashi and the hosts, and between arashi themselves. it might also be because there was a lack of interaction between kamenashi and yamashita because they're probably not used to being around each other. but in the end, i still think this is the major difference between kat-tun and arashi. arashi aims at entertainment - they're not concerned with bad images and stuff. kat-tun will always be the immaculate, clean-looking boyband.

I saw all their recent appearances for Wish and I think I like the Utaban appearance best, cos I think Nakai-kun is a good host - he can bring out the best in them. Plus Ohno and Nakai have this history of ending up fighting with each other... I think Nakai really likes arashi from the way he treats them.... like a big brother...
I also noticed that recently Nino has become more talkative. Although Sho and Matsujun usually do most of the talking.

For the dates I published before, we supposed to have 6 appearances of Arashi performing their new single "WISH". Only they have to be in MUSIC STATION 11/25 to complete the schedule.
The good new is we could have a new one, but this time we choose which song they perform.

Stormy-related talking, Arashi wasn't in Best artist the past year, don't know why. But they were in 2001, 2002, 2003. Depend on us if they will be this year, and I hope we could have them there!

i mean, my eyes were literally glued to jun...
actually, it's not just him that's sweet, all 5 of them are sweet and as most of you have said, they are just so natural at being themselves, totally un-shy to show their sweet, unruly, un-kakkoi, baka, funny selves!
that's their greatest attraction to me. i mean, where most idol groups are aiming to look like dolls, arashi aims to stay human.
and that's why they're entertaining!
i was thinking why don't they host a tv show together?
i mean not the gna, mago type but more like this utaban, where they interact with other celebs?

i can't help but notice how popular kt or kame and jin are right now... gosh it took me a decade to learn their names...
it's really debatable about their looks or fashion sense vs arashi, mostly i think they're popular now coz they are kind of 'new'? (coz i donno what to make out of kame's looks jin is much better...)
well, in a sense, regardless of their age, being 6 yrs after debuting, arashi is an 'old' band.
or there's much more guerilla marketing on their side vs arashi... all the magazines are flooded with them...geez...
maybe it's true for a lot of girls that if they see more of them they'll fall in love with them... (what kind of society are we degrading into??)
honestly i hate kt for messing up gokusen 2.
well, i defintely don't see anything in those guys but it's too subjective so i won't talk about it here...
and i don't really care if only 2 out of their 17 members stand out in kt, just wanna know what are the strengths or talents of those 2 guys that are so attractive about them? (plucking eyebrows not counted as talent)
whereas i can sprout some really substantial stuff about arashi, i can't about kt or whatever...

Well I think I can sorta answer this. I think everyone has their own fashion sense. Kt actually consisted of juniors who were selected by Tsuyoshi Dom for their good dancing. And later, because many pple liked them, they were maintained. To be honest, I used to like kame and jin alot. But now I kinda dislike Jin because I am terribly sick of him. He appears almost everywhere. It is like a kid who hates eating vegetables. I am more of a Kame fan. Sorry for that.
For every new band, they would have more marketing and advertising as well. I think for their strengths in the eyes of kt fans would be that they are charming, they can sing, some say they can act...and yeah, basically how you would look at your own fave idol would be how kt fans look at kt.
I am more Arashi-ed these days. Used to visit the kt thread much more often than here because I dint know much abt Arashi until I was attracted by their music. They sure got me buying their cds! And I recently realised that my first ever Arashi song I listened to and was my fave was kansha kangeki ame arashi. They must have performed on Music station in the past but I had no clue about them. Just remembered the tune of the song.
I haven't watch finish Gokusen 2 yet but after watching just the special of gokusen 1, I do find it funky! Gokusen 2 is darker I guess. _________________

yeah! someone before mentioned how the boys of arashi seemed more excited when the two acrobatic boys came out on utaban. especially jun! he just kept on goin "sugoi! maji de? sugoi!!" haha, he was so amazed by it and so were the other boys. i don't really have a problem with kame from kat-tun cuz he's about the only one i know about because of nobuta wo produce, but from what i've seen so far of kat-tun, ie magazines and lil promo things, they seem very manufactured and produced.
