Re: The Ryoko lighters. Why not just contact Zippo?

http://www.zippo.com/main.aspx?referral=&referralURL=

They are easily the most customer friendly company I've ever dealt with.

If they can't sell you the lighters, odds are you can send a lighter and Ryoko's picture to them, and they'll attach it for you.

Remember, these are the guys who'll take back any damaged or broken Zippo lighter, regardless of age or cause of damage, and repair it for you free of charge, and mail it back to you. And if they can't repair it, they send you a brand new one.

I"ve sent them a half dozen broken lighters over the last 25 years or so, and they are always great to deal with.

Odds are, they'll bend over backwards to help you get what you want.

I'll try that out, Geez. Thanks.

One question: what make you so sure that they're Zippo lighters? Head Scratch

Don't know if it's the glasses or the pose with glasses, but it reminds me of an I Love Lucy episode... Smile Head Scratch

Because a Zippo is a Zippo, man.

I suppose there might be someone out there trying to do a cheap knock off of a zippo, but I expect they'd go out of business pretty fast. Zippos aren't exactly expensive, but they are the gold standard for most of us.

If it's a Japanese knockoff of a Zippo, it probably has a PDA and/or cellphone built into the bugger... Wink

I guess so, since I can't remember. Head Scratch

Officially, I'm taking a sick day: if we don't use up our sick days before the year's out, we lose 'em. Pretty dumb policy by management, 'cause a number of people start getting "sick" about this time of the year... Wink
