Shadowthrone, I thought the same way too about Gastunk. I was so curious that I ended up searching the internet about their existence for all afternoon. Didnt get much though, since most of the sites were in japanese. Its interesting that they turn out to be Japanese hard core punk. Hard core is never audible for me. Wonder how they would sound like since hyde admires the vocalist. _________________

Hahahah, thanks fellas! naughty eh? Snagged it from yaoi fanart section thread somewhere (dont quite remember where). I thought the way the lines "How many times did I do Gackt today" matches hyde's expression was priceless!! So I saved it. Then I remember the time when I put on my previous Chibi Laruku avatar and evryone fussed over how cute it was. This is slightly off topic, but still related and some of you might be interested.
I was able to download a few singles from the Gastunk group that Hyde says is his favorite singer and probably an influence as well. I don't think they are that bad, but they are quite a bit different than L'Arc~en~Ciel. They kind of have a raw 80s metal/hard rock sound to them. The singer is sort of interesting, he's no hyde but he's not too bad for his time. Also, he everyonce in a while gets a harsher scream going that isn't too bad.
If anyone wants I can upload a couple of the songs. It might be a little too raw and harsh for some people, but I think it's interesting to see where hyde is coming from.

Is Gastunk similiar to other group? Just to have a reference. Cuz as far as I know... Hyde's influences are... mmm.... Marilyn Manson and Ramstein. _________________

T_T I am making a Christmas gift for a friend, and I need quite a few. I have some, but they're mostly from SMILE to current. Claus, they don't really have that many similarities to Rammstein or Marilyn Manson at least in my opinion. I suppose all three bands are "heavy," but in quite different ways. Yet then again it might not sound too different to you because since metal is about all I listen to (other than L'Arc~en~Ciel of course), I'm pretty good at differentiating between the different styles. Yet they might sound the same to someone new to the genre.
Oh, and that's awesome that you are listening to a lot of 80s metal, ����. There is a lot of good stuff from then.

i would like to hear how their music sounds like, since Hyde said he likes the band if somebody thinks that the sound won't be that different, that person would be me hehe.. i'm not too good about differentiating music genre. anyway i'm so curious about how the vocalist's voice sounds like.. thanks so much for you will upload the songs, shadowthrone!
