Just got home from school and I was supposed to watch Last Christmas episodes 1 and 2. Before I went to school, I left my computer running so that when I come home, the download would be completed. But my internet service provider did a maintenance today so my DSL automatically got disconnected and my download stopped Grumble . When I got home, my BT was just 59% for episode 1 and 46% for episode 2. So now, I'll have to wait for an hour or 2 before I can watch it, damnit! Angry

Tolerance fight the FLU!!! FIGHT IT!!!! have you d-ld' the subs? it's already out! you're lucky you have to watch the ep at the same time.. i watch it without the subs.. then with the subs.. i think it's better to watch doramas with subs ready/available.. watching it raw kinda takes the element of surprise...

ideally with the subs in it, which are hard subbed ones, soft sub ones are ok too. But i do have a few series where it is not subb'ed yet, so that is very challenging and difficult to understand. I did pick up on a few words here and there from watching so much j-dramas. hehe

open both boxes,
set hard drive to master, plug in power and IDE connection. Close the external case.

no way!! serious?? darnit.. well yeah.. if you have the casing and the desktop HD.. that would be nice.. but I have no experience in building things from scratch up.. (except for cooking i guess) but like soldering pieces together.. uhhhhh.. i don't think so...

yeah.. Firewire is a faster connection than USB.. i think standard firewire transfers around 400mbps... It took me an hour to transfer my doramas last night.. i transfered, full seasons of engine, mukodono, trick 3, incompletes of brother beat, hyd, nobuta, ganbatte, ichi, dragonz and lunch no jouu..

the only thing i regret about firewire is that i don't have it in my office pc.. meaning.. everytime i dl a series.. i have to drag my laptop to work and transfer it over the wireless network which takes about 15-30 mins per series..

USB 1.1: 10 or 12mbps Head Scratch
USB 2.0: 480mbps
Firewire: 400mbps
Firewire 800: 800mbps. Only on Mac at the moment if I remember correctly.

If you can plug in your keyboard/mouse/printer to your PC, you can build one, like i told qilver earlier. No soldering involved. screwdriver is just about all you'll need.

For anyone that wants to try.... basic directions.

set your hard drive to Master (directions should have come with the drive)
plug in power cable
plug in IDE cable
screw in the drive to the case
close case
plug in power cable to wall
plug in both ends of the firewire cable

turn power on.

done.
