Hmm, I couldn't even get tickets during EURO 2002, all tickets sold out for 2006 too Sweat

I guess Germany will make the semis at least, since they are playing at home, but I don't think Germany has been playing well at all these last few years. but hey, you never know - they are great tournament players.

Brazil will probably get to the finals, Holland will get to the semis. I'm not too sure about the other teams, England has been crap so far, same for Italy and France. I hope for some outsiders to get through.

well i agree with you one how germany has gone a bit errr...
sorry to germans but i don't like jurgen klinsmanns, he makes the team look.err weird...(i always liked rudi voller's coaching style) and when i say klinsmanns name "american dreamhouse" pops in my head and the defeat from korea republic i think early this year

France is shocking Shocked i still go for them but they are Shocked , man how they draw so much now! Zizou has come back in to save them...and his injury last world cup stuffed up france' campaign

Brazil~ everyone loves them but dude! move over need new champs..Argentina gonna win! WOO HOO baby

i think the Holland would go alright, the semi's yeah...Holland and Ukraine are threats in the world cup coz they are capable of doing things, holland have van Nistelrooy, Rommedahl, van Bommel....and Ukraine...all i can think of is Shevchenko

England stuffs up at times

Italy...oooO and Spain ooO tehy have gone wonky and they used to be so GOOD! but what happened to them...both the latin rooted people are liek going wonky...spain got me dissapointed the most(i shall not go into spains dissapointment further)

well thats all i cbf posting atm

well i won't be bothered to try and get hold of tickets for Germany, I live in Holland and during the EURO 2002 that was being held in Holland-Belgium I couldn't even get tickets... ashamed

and um, Rommedahl is from Denmark hehe I think you mean Robben

England is totally ruined by Eriksson, I mean god, the country who invented the game does not need a foreigner to manage the team Beat You if I were from UK I'd be ashamed.

i hate to say it but i agree. i've always felt that england expect to win so they don't necessarily work for it. even now people still talk about 1966!

also, the players are overated. if a player has one good game e.g. michael owen against germany when he scored three, then that sets them up for life to play for their country even if they've lost form.

just look at beckham and we've only just got rid of david seaman from the goals! Shake Head

At least Seaman is gone now - but David James isn't that reliable either, the weakest link was always the defenders and strikers, but there are plenty of new talents available. shame they never get the chance.

I mean come on, Gary Neville: is that really England's best? Rio Ferdinand is just overrated. Sol Cambel + John Terry is where it's at + Ashley Cole is a pretty good back line, and with players like Owen, Rooney, Scholes, Gerard, Lampard you'd say they'd make a lethal squad. oh yes, I even forgot to mention Beckham hehe can you imagine they played Heskey just a few years ago? LMAO hehe

but come on Sven, he managed to play a 4-5-1 formation when Owen was injured/suspended? THAT'S unacceptable. Even the Italians don't do that anymore. though Chelsea does it all the time, that's why I hate watching Chelsea now: they got so many great players and they still play like cowards. I so miss the old English football.

i dont know about you guys, but i think defensive football is ugly. i hate that very much. Shake Head

world cup 1990 has been criticized much as many teams played defensive. well, it should be criticized. 0-0 matches bored me to death. it's a waste of time watching those games. Grumble

The Czechs were my favorites to win in 2004 (man I love Nedved), but Holland was equally as good in their group game if not better (yep the one with the infamous Robben sub -> 2-0 lead turned into a drawgame) it was said to be one of the best worldcup matches ever and I have to agree.

I totally hated the semifinal game between Portugal - Holland: the only game where in Louis Figo played well. and conceding such a stupid 2nd goal was just...but oh well other than they were better than the dutch.

funny facts about strikers: Milan Baros who was the topscorer of the Czechs, and of the tournament with 5 goals, something he didn't achieve for Liverpool in 2 years hehe well he did manage to score a few, but not many, you get the idea ashamed

Angelos Charisteas: scoring the winning header against the French and also during the final Euro 2004, isn't good enough for Ajax to be a sub even, he has to take a seat with the crowds.

Man tonight we'll know the final draw, we'll discuss later w00t!

i was actually in prague when holland played the czechs in the european championship. i was watching the game on giant screens in the old town square when within 20 minutes holland were 2-0 up. figuring that holland were cruising to a win i went for a meal. when i came back the czechs had scored 3 and won the game 3-2! i missed all the action!!
