You mean they "can't" have their pictures on official sites right? Yup, Japanese are very strict like that. They don't even have the boys' pictures on JE's own site. And the boys also can't sign autographs for fans except during autographs sessions.

That weird dot in P's eye... I have noticed it only in Nobuta few times, but now when I look at pics, he has that in them too... Anyways, I have friends too who have that kind of dots in their eyes, they seem harmless.
chookie star: What I have understood, JE is BIG in Japan. I have few japanese friends online, who like JE too...

They are insanely popular~! I asked my ex-Japanese roommate how well known they are and her answer was "VERY popular". And look at all the merchanise and magazines that are totally devoted to Johnny's. It's a huge enterprise!

Btw, did any of u read the local i weeky magazine? This week edition, there's Yamap and Kame's little report on their seishun Amigo sales... though they got their names and group mixed up...-_-" I was really surprise and happy, as it's seldom that Jpop artists are featured in local magazines...
But anyway, their single sales was really good, it's reported that this single is the only single in japan that broke the a million record, and is the best-selling single of the year... Cool... Congrats!

i might have missed it... but why aren't they allowed to have their photos on an official site? i can sort of understand the autographing thing, although it is a shame... but i don't understand about the photos....

errm ~~ cuz JE has this rule abt their own artistes' photo right ~
other websites don't have the right to use their artistes' pics ~~
just like you won't find JE artsites pics on "JUNON" mag or some other mags ~ _________________

anyway i have read this week i-weekly(our local mag).. lol~ was a bit at first to see KamePi inside!!(as usually the japan section fo that mag is really tiny)but of coz i was really happy for them to know that actually they are REALLY that popular that our local mag had decided to tell singaporeans more about them!!

wow i've never heard of that one before. but he quit when i lived in japan, and people told me he said he quit b/c he wanted to study, but people think he quit b/c his parents got divorced (b/c in japan divorce is like really bad.. not bad but like idk how to explain it lol)
and about the autograph signing thing.. i'm sure they're allowed. like in one show yamaP was like "i love my fans, so i love it when they come up to me and ask me to shake hands w/ them" so i thought he wasn't allowed to sign. but then in another interview he said "when fans bring pictures of me to sign, it makes me happy to know they have my picture!" or something like that.. so i'm pretty sure they're allowed. except maybe ppl just don't ask them. idk lol

About Tego's movie, I was wondering that too. Saw the trailer on Youtube and it looks like a DARK film. I dont know japanese so I have no idea what the movie's about. Anyone know and can share?
And about the photograph thing, I was wondering why Massu and tegoshi didn't have their pictures up on the drama website. It's very business smart though. All JE media is controlled by the company so only they make money off it?

Yupp johnny is a smart guy...i don't like it when the drama banner don't even show their faces lol but yeh ....it's a good business moive...im just wondering if i ever visit Japan, how many JE STORES there are in Japan is there only 1 or there other stations within Japan? i so want to grab things of Yamapi but im sure it's going to be expensive!

Eh really? Sorry if I provide the wrong information! BUt I thought they were strictly not allowed to sign/shake hands with the fans except for events?
You can buy the Tegoshi movie novel in Kino. I saw it last Saturday when I went. Yup, it has aired already in Japan.

really? yamaps said "i love my fans so i love it when come up to me and ask to shake my hand" when i was watching the NEWS Nippon dvd, and there was a whole bunch of fans like trying to touch the members.... it seemed like yamap was really annoyed and wished they would go away... i thought he didnt like his fans very much... like obviously he wants fans.. but like not around him (does that make sense?)... maybe i just read his face wrong

umm i don't know about JE Stores... but i saw calendars and photos and whatever it was.. sold in a 7 eleven store in japan in the news nippon dvd.... and i know they sell heaps of JE things in alot of stores, because my friend from japan bought me some... and it wasn't from a JE store.... i think the prices are pretty much the same as when you buy off the net though... so yea, kinda expensive....
what i heard about is JE people are allowed to have autographs, pictures im not quite soo sure about that, but its a NO NO for them to accept any form of gifts, and for fan mails you only send them to JE'a address and JE concert.
Johnny is smart, he actually makes X-deals with companies asking them to show only JE artists this goes for magazines, tv shows.
about the 9th member, i heard his family is very influencial like in Japan, they are artist and i heard they didnt like the set up NEWS so he quitted and yeah joined another company now.

btw.. i think johnny artist are able to sign for fans.. but i think they are not suppose to sign for businesses like ramen shop they went to... my friend went to stand up filming location last year and got to see Hiroki and shun signature. The shop owner say no signature of nino and pi because of their management rules..
