qilver Don't worry, my grammar sucks too and I don't know much vocabulary either. As for hiragana, it gets easier at the end, because they are the same, but you just add a little circle or " (Dakuten and handakuten).
 = ka, = ga or = fu, = bu, = pu. Smile

my shietty skills are sooo bad i wish i could go to tokyo and kick it for like 6 months to a 1 year and just sopp up the language like oil in a freshly fried gyoza.

cool, thanks for the character info...
i personally think Hiragana is learnable and the easiest, next to Katakana, Kanji is quite difficult with all the extra character strokes. Bang Head Bonk

I'd love to do that too. Maybe even work there, but to work there, you must be fluent. Shameful Cry It's like the chicken and the egg.

You're welcome. I also think hiragana is the easiest. Kanji is tough. I know a few, mostly the square ones and koi (love/passion). I learn this one from koi ga shitai. Smile

I have some learning material with exams somewhere, I'll try to find it and upload it somewhere.

not, but i gave it some thought to apply there when the online apps where available in late sept, but since have changed career direction, in a way.

it was AEON that i interviewed with in LA, tough tough interview, and i had two of them on different days, only to get a rejection letter. Shake Head , hopefully better things are ahead instead of that road. still going to visit japan again maybe next year. Thumbsup

yeah, hopefully grad school in SoCal or NorCal, in the teaching/educational field, haven't specifically decided yet, but generally yes. I was only initially disappointed when my dreams of living in japan were dashed....but only to conjure up thoughts of a long vacation for next year, i hope. other parts to visit in Japan....Nikko, Nara, Hiroshima, and of course Tokyo and Kyoto again.... Bonk

you gotta try...a lot of programs don't require japanese fluency as a prerequisite.

to get back a bit on track, weather has been overcast, and cooler than last week, figuring it is near xmas time and the rest of the country is either freezing with snow, or close to that.

anyways in regards to teaching prgs in japan, if you have questions on AEON, one of the big teaching prgs, besides JET(best in my opinion), and NOVA( Shake Head ), just let me know, i can point you out some websites, if i can remember or tell you more info on them.
you do not need to know japanese to enter these prgs, infact they probably prefer you don't know any or hardly any japanese, for some reason. ganbatte ne, if you decide to go for it.

thats true but its hard finding theright program.. thats like credible and stuff. i was searching online and some of the stuff seemed incredibly sketchy... Beaten but then over break ill have more time to look...

tho i doubt my parents would be very happy with me doing that over the summer... i should proly also look into internships and all that good (*cough*) stuff...
