haha yeh, guess u havent been to my joe thread hehe dalaw ka dun sometime medjo walang mashadong chismiss sa kanya cuz we're not that type of fans hehe
im pretty sure theres shinsugumi in d-a, its been out for a year now, just hope that you'll still have some seeders. goodluck!
gusto ko rin yung trick series, kakatawa silang mag-away, trick 3 was pretty good, out of all the 3, imo.
Here in the Philippines, taiga dramas are shown every sundays in NHK. And since the program schedule of that network is based in Japan, I guess the schedule that I see here is the same in Japan (but an hour differential in time slot). And yeah, they are aired throughout the year. They don't have to worry about when they have to finish a taiga drama because it is not a seasonal drama.
Anyway, I also like Joe Odagiri in Shinsengumi because he portrays my favorite Shinsengumi and Rurouni Kenshin character . If you need seeders for this taiga drama, just post your seed request in d-addicts and i'll seed upon request (yung batch torrent ha) .
I still haven't watched Trick 1 and 2 but I do have a copy of the first one. Just don't have the mood to watch it. So, is it good? _________________

i don't know ha.. pero for me.. SUPER BENTA.. i have a weird sense of humour i guess... some people may find it too obvious and trying hard.. but iono.. i was just laughing my arse off everytime i watch this show.. sure, it may have it's draggy moments, pero on the totality.. i love watching it..
hey man, i didnt know u understand tagalog i just know you're filipino but u never join the crowd, thanks for the info, i have a feeling this is gonna be a softy like yoshitsune but ill look for some deeper synopsis, this one doesnt say much..

Synopsis
The 45th NHK Taiga Drama is Koumyou ga Tsuji. Kazutoyo (I'll try to avoid mentioning too much or else I'd run the risk of spoiling the whole story) lived during the end of the Sengoku period (1546-1605). He was the first feudal lord of the fief of Tosa on the island of Shikoku. He served Nobunaga Oda, Hideyoshi Toyotomi and Tokugawa Ieyasu.
Chiyo (1557-1617) was his wife, and was known in history for her dedication and devotion to her husband (like Matsu was to Toshiie in Toshiie to Matsu). -- groink

Well, it's not really free. You can only have them if you subscribe to a cable company. The availability of Japanese channels also depends on what cable company you will subscribe to. I subscribed at Destiny cable and it has all 3 channels that you mentioned. My cable also used to have NTV (Nippon tv) but they replaced it with Jet TV last october . Jet TV is based in taiwan but the shows are Japanese doramas and variety shows with Chinese subs in it.

Hmmm......since you said it was good, I guess I will have to give it a try. I trust you when you said "SUPER BENTA"

Last time I was there was in the summer of 2002. Japanese dramas on their airwaves was not even close to happening at that time. It's nice to see them show the dramas now.

yeh it just depends on how your parents raise you, i have a best friend who was born and grew up here in cali, she understood and could speak tagalog fluently, but her accent was kinda funny hehe naki-kyutan ako
oh yeh, i have lots of filipino friends here, even my cousins and my relatives, we speak tagalog/bisaya on our gatherings. so its really impossible to forget the language _________________
Good thing that you guys understand (and can even speak) Tagalog despite the fact that you guys have been away from here for years .
Anyway, I think most Filipinos there understand Tagalog. The thing is, some Filipinos don't want to speak Tagalog because they are afraid that the Americans might hear them speak in their native language . You know, the Americans will say "These people were fresh off the boat" or something like that, when they hear you speak your native language. And as a result, they forget the language because they don't use it. But I don't blame them. I would probably do the same if I were in their place _________________

i know what u mean hehe i hear that a lot during high school, not that they call me "fobs" cuz i was never been one, the only thing they call people that is when you really really have a bad accent, .. and in my college we do have a 'fob tree' @ school, where all the fobs hang out and i have a few friends there, which was funny. but i have a friend who attempted suicide cuz of that.. it was pretty bad.. she got over it and we're still friends now. but encouragement is all they needed, i encourage them not to be ashame of what they are. i took her to a spoken word club where u wanna express yourselves through poetry.. lots of filipino cats goes there,
sa tingin ko kasi sa high school stages lang yan, nobody cares if you're older or in college now, yung mga mexicans nga jan, they speak spanish kahit kaharap mo pa eh, they dont care, so why should we care right?
guess im over confident, but i am, may mga pinoy ring walang pakialam jan or didnt want people to make fun of them too so they dont talk to them, pero approachable lang ako any ig'nants tryin to make me stop speaking in tagalog will meet my fist. _________________

Yeah, you're right. Anyway, you guys are in the land of the free so it's your freedom to speak what language you wanna speak .
