no need to apologize...it's the area where the street is located, it's a neighborhood in tokyo. i think the name of the street is "Keyakizaka Dori"
you can check the following website for more info about the area in english...i posted this in the HYD thread, too
The 400m lenghth of Keyakizaka-dori Avenue will glow in the magical illumination of white and blue LED lights.^Illumination HOURS:17:00-24:00Special winter illumination can be enjoyed until 1/31/06

the lights are just fascinating...that's something we don't really have in l.a...the climate it so warm most the year the city never really gets "dolled" up for xmas in the winter....well the thing is because so many different areas of tokyo have that ultra modern design aesthetic...those dazzling lights "fit" the image...i mean even if we had lights like that in l.a...it would look cool but it wouldn't look as great.

did you go to Tokyo during xmas time?
I didn't go during the winter time, but i have been to Hong Kong during Christmas time, many years ago.
The thing i recall of the nightlife was in Shinjuku, gosh, so many lights and i have to post a pix of it on the japan thread, unless i have already. Gosh, never seen so much night lights on a Wednesday too, so many people out having a good time like it was a Friday or Saturday night.
