Yup, he did say something like that. It was more towards him saying that they will always remain the way they are now. tetsu also hoped that they will be here again being interviewed on their 20th anniversary.

Don't worry so much about it. Everyone was getting started on their solo stuff, tetsu had to follow suit sooner or later. Lets just hope that this break wont be so long.

I would have totally freaked out...wouldn't even go close to that thing. It was still moving!!! But tetsu was funny. He made an excuse not to eat, saying that his doctor did not allow him to do so.

Thank you so much for the Music Station, Music Fighter, and ASIALIVE TV special files! That was a wonderful Christmas present. It�fs been heaven to have so much laruku to watch!
I really enjoyed the Music Station performance of New World. It was fun watching hyde being playful and lying on the ground singing. I thought it was a great performance.
The Music Fighter show was funny�cI wonder if they are setting things up for that host to sing with either ken or yuki�fs group (or laruku?) like how Aoki did with laruku?
The ASIALIVE TV special was really great! Wow, the fans at the airport in Korea were scary! I can�ft even imagine what it must feel like to have to walk through that crowd and have them all pushing and shoving to get to you.
Hyde eating the octopus was really cute! Yuck! I can�ft believe he ate it. I give him a lot of credit. I�fve never seen food that moved that much�cso much to almost jump off the plate�cewww!
Ken was so cute playing with that toy lizard (?) and when he was practicing speaking Chinese. Heh, ken is so funny!
The MC before and performance of Niji was so touching. I wish I knew exactly what was said, but even without knowing, it was very moving.
Thanks also to Ri:ka, and pochi for all the information about tetsu�fs new band. I hadn�ft heard about that before. Sounds interesting!

31th August 2005, Yoyogi National Stadium, popular rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel brought to an end their 12-stop nationwide AWAKE Tour.
[tetsu]
Thank you. We'll wait for you in Korea!
Leaving Japan
[narrator]
After one night, 1st September, the 4 of them set out for Korea.
Since the formation of the band in 1991, popular rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel, having been at the top of the Japanese music scene, held their first ever overseas tour.
Our program spent close to a month's worth of time on filming on location, using more than 100 hours of close-up footages, including precious members' interviews that are not normally heard, to bring to you a side of their private life.
[title screen flashes]
Arriving in Korea
[narrator]
ASIALIVE 2005's first stop - Kimpo International Airport in Korea's capital Seoul where close to 500 fans gathered to receive the band's members.
[hyde]
It still felt alright in the beginning. Looking at those artistes that come to Japan, they are comfortable and calm too, are they not? At first, I even smiled secretly for a while. After that, I felt like a housewife at a bargain shop.
[narrator]
The Korean fans waiting in the airport started crowding towards the members. It was chaos everywhere at the airport hall.
[yuki - I think]
I didn't know what was going on.
[ken]
Someone was grabbing my two hands like this. On one side was one of our own people pulling me, on the other, a fan was pulling me.
[yuki]
Didn't know which way to go?
[ken]
Suddenly, I began to suspect whether that person was really one of our own people.
[tetsu]
I thought that it would be better compared to Thailand.
*pauses*
It was scarier than Thailand.
[hyde]
A lot of situations had happened. It was probably our most united moment (among the members) since the formation of the band.
[narrator]
Driving on the way to the city center of Seoul.
[yuki]
They were chasing after us in taxis. On seeing such a scene, I thought that it was no different from Japan.
Welcome Party in Korea
[narrator]
That night, a welcome party was held together with the Japanese media that followed the band on its tour.
One of the things that (they) have been looking forward to before coming to Korea - Beef BBQ. How does the traditional Korean BBQ taste like?
[tetsu]
Its hot. It tastes a little bland.
[ken]
Adding this will probably make it taste better?
[male]
It seems to be so.
How does it taste like, good?
[ken]
Yes, it is delicious. But if you eat it like this, it feels too bland.
[male]
How does it taste like?
[hyde]
Erm, delicious! Just now, she said that the ones in Japan tasted better!

After the party, the 4 of them walked the streets of Korea.
[ken]
I don't understand Korean, so I don't know what the shops are about.
[female]
You can't understand just by looking at the decor.
[narrator]
This is the only precious time in their schedule during which they can experience the streets of Korea by themselves.
Meeting The Press
[narrator]
On the day before the live, a meet-the-media session was held. The Korean media were also very interested in Japanese rock bands. There were close to 100 reporters in attendance that day.
[ken]
This time, the stage design will be different from what we usually do.
[press]
Please say a few words to the fans in Korea.
[hyde]
I wish to see everyone quickly tomorrow.
Rehearsal
[narrator]
After the session, and without any rest time, they rushed to the live venue.
This is the Korea live venue - Olympic Park Gymnasium. This is the largest indoor gymnasium, and its also the first time a Japanese artiste is holding a concert here.
[male]
The stage is over there.
[hyde]
Its a little cold.
[male]
How is it? First impression?
[hyde]
Its very round.
[narrator]
This is what the members' rest area looks like.
[hyde]
Compared to Budokan, its a little [can't translate]. It is like a circus, really big. There are even seats up there. Its the largest indoor venue in Seoul.
[tetsu]
The place of the concert?
So I see. Considering indoors only.
It is similar to Japan's Budokan. As a Japanese artiste holding a concert here, this is the biggest one ever.
[narrator]
In the rest area, live matters were being discussed with the stage supervisor. The facial expressions from just now have suddenly become very serious.
[tetsu]
It is still better to do it that way.
[male]
Please don't. It feels weird after playing it. But if it is just like this...
Oh yes, there is this part.
[hyde]
What is that?
[male]
That is the part during Link. [based on his hand gestures, I guess he is referring to the middle part of the song]
[hyde]
There? What is that part for? What is it for?

In the beginning, we said to use it during the AWAKE Tour, but it wasn't used in the end. So we plan to use it during ASIALIVE.
[tetsu]
I don't think everyone will follow and do it.
[male]
But it should be ok after doing it once.
[hyde]
I don't think that it is impossible to do.
[narrator]
ken, having not seen him around for a while, was practicing his guitar alone.
[ken]
I've been using this for practice. I haven't practiced so hard before a live for a long time.
[narrator]
And so the rehearsal began. To Laruku, who has just finished their AWAKE Tour, today is the first time they are rehearsing for ASIALIVE.
Not long after the start of the rehearsal, unexpected problems started to arise. The sound on the stage was different from the usual ones.
[tetsu]
Mine was too. I couldn't hear hyde's voice at all.
[male]
We'll fix it.
[announcement]
Major adjustments need to be made. Those who wish to rest may do so, there might be a problem with the wiring/cables.
[ken]
The wiring is in a mess? Right?
[yuki]
The sound from my drumming all came out from this side.
[ken]
That is too obvious.
[yuki]
I felt that it was strange.
[ken said some stuff but they were not translated]
[yuki]
That sound and the vocals were mixed together.
[ken]
Is that so? So it was that messy.
[tetsu]
It sounds totally different from usual.
[male]
It is different? Then how about this?
[tetsu]
Of course not. It was also like this in America but this is still not okay.
[narrator]
Only 18 hours more till tomorrow's live. The staff are rushing and working very hard.
The rehearsal restarts. The sound difference noticed by the members were actually due to the different equipment that they used here, than in Japan.
For the Korean fans seeing Laruku live for the first time tomorrow, Laruku and the staff worked hard to improve everything.
[ken talks about some technical stuff]
[narrator]
Guitarist ken made many detailed requests to the staff.

Drummer yukihiro adjusted the equipment himself one by one.
The rehearsal carried on late into the night.
Korea Live!
[narrator]
Finally, the day of the live.
Alot of impatient fans gathered at the venue.
Inside the gymnasium, the final rehearsal was still going on, as well as the staff's preparation.
4 hours from the start of the live, there is already a long queue outside.
Its finally time to enter.
[male]
Five more minutes.
[tetsu]
This is the first time performing in Seoul, Korea. Let everyone see the passion of Seoul!
Lets go!

Before the performance, when we were going out to the stage... When the sound effects (SE) were being played, I was impressed by the shouting from the fans.

It was very passionate. I thought it was as expected of people who grew up on the mainland.
After The Live
[narrator]
After the end of the passionate Seoul live, there was a party to celebrate the success of the live.
[tetsu]
The atmosphere this time was great, would like to come again next year. Thats all.
[narrator]
On the second day, to enjoy a rare break, the members went sightseeing separately.
[tetsu]
It felt like �����o访*, we went to a modern cafe. There was even a terrace. The sofa (where they were sitting) was two sofas away from the one that Bae Yong-Jun always sat. Feel like going to Yong-sama's place to take a look. It looks great.

Delicious.
[narrator]
Next, the two of them went to a seafood restaurant, said to be very popular in Korea. Appearing on the table was a Korean speciality - live octopus.
[tetsu]
Octopuses have high cholesterol content.
[male]
Is that so? Thats surprising.
[tetsu]
During my recent blood test, the doctor said that my cholesterol levels were approaching the high level. The doctor told me not to eat.
[male]
So its a doctor's order.
[hyde grimaces]

I love octopus. But...I don't think I can (eat it).
[male]
He really ate it.
[hyde]
It can't move anymore.
The moving octopus was really beyond my imagination. I had goosebumps.

Because there was time, I went onto the streets and walked around alot. Couldn't find anything that I wanted. But I saw alot of middle-aged folks carrying these sponge lizards on their backs. Putting them down on the floor like that. It looked like it was really moving. I did not want anything else. Just that. I really wanted it.
When they saw that I wanted it, they thought that it was rare. Was thinking that it was something the Japanese already knew about.

After that, I kept on playing this at home. It become a substitute for my cigarettes. Like this.

It changed how I felt. That was a lie.
Onto Shanghai!
[narrator]
The second day, hyde separated from the rest of the members and headed to Shanghai alone to promote the tour.

I really thought I was going to die.
[narrator]
Here, the Shanghai fans were also waiting for hyde's arrival at the airport.
[hyde]
I thought Korea was still okay.
Suddenly, someone from the organizers pulled my hand and started running. If I ran, won't the fans start running as well? So the airport became like an athletic meet. On the way to the vehicle, (we) even walked the wrong way. I felt that someone will probably die...maybe me?
[male]
Its dangerous.
[hyde]
(We) actually started running, it was scary...
[narrator]
Even though it was only hyde who came, a large gathering of media and fans were present, (he) was also at the center of attraction in Shanghai.
The Rest Arrives...
[narrator]
And so, on 9th September, all members of Laruku came to Shanghai. Extreme measures were used, in the form of having the police making way for vehicle transfers and movement etc.
That night, there was a welcome party in Shanghai.
During this live, everyone will face the challenge of using the local language during their MCs.
hyde was silently memorizing Chinese words during dinner.

In China, it felt appropriate to use Chinese for the MC. For foreigners, no one will understand what you are saying unless you use English. I only knew the phrase "How are you". So if I did not say it well, won't it look bad? Really worked very hard for it.

thanks for the translation Pochi! I'm trying to download the 3rd part of tv asahi but, as said Ryuusei, it says "download limit excedeed" sometimes, but now works well for me. I hope ryuusei and other persons can to get the file _________________
