Kodocha is the VERY BEST anime/manga in the world. period. Mr Green

Yeah Sana's mom is nut. Crazy hairdo. Nut

description:(animenfo.com)
Kurata Sana is a frenetic eleven-year-old child actress with an extremely overprotective agent, a mother who is an eccentric award-winning author, and a burning desire to do well in school. However, as much as she wants to be a good student, the antics of the boys in her class make learning impossible, according to Sana anyway. And in her eyes, Hayama Akito is the worst offender of them all. A junior-high war of the sexes ensues, and Sana eventually realizes through the chaos that Hayama may not be the "devil boy" she's made him up to be.

Yep. Another very good anime film from Studio Ghibli... Once again, the English dub stunk, especially with the doofus from Dawson's Creek... Bleah.

Are u talking about the one released by [AX]? Coz if it is, its dual audio - japanese and english - u just have to select japanese audio and turn on english subtitles in ur video player.

I don't know about that one... I'm talking about the one released by Disney here in the States... Too bad you can't program your DVD player to not use the dub tracks... It's a pain to have to switch to the Japanese track everytime you watch the movie, but it is worth it... Smile

oic. i thought u were referrig to a fansub release. hehehe.

i'm not sure if it varies by manufacturer but i had my dvd player (panasonic) default to japanese audio and subtitles on. So, if u insert a dvd with japanese track, it will switch to it automatically, otherwise, it will use language 0 which is usually english. you have to look the code for the japaese language in the manual though since its not selectable on the on-screen menu. Smile

Good point. I'l have to look at my Sony DVD player's manual. Of course, being in Region 1, the player defaults to English... Are you in the States?

Hehe! Watched Pom Poko last Friday, it was pretty good. I thought it was a family movie, it turned out to be quite serious movie, sad it was. The movie was about raccoons and their "declaration war" on people. The raccoons' forests and mountains are torn down and cities are built on the soil. The raccoons gotta do something about it before it's too late.

Btw Laputa by AX release doesn't display the subs properly, some lines are missing. Checked out partly.

Yes, the CGs sure suck a lot of money! But some scenes have been replaced with ordinary hand drawn animation Wink
Cost effective, hehe. I'm sure the producers get their money back in the long run. a 5000 yen exluded tax for a dvd hehe

Why not the box set instead?

Yes, that's today's happy news. It warmed my heart that ppl would still follow Maison Ikkoku considering its 80's theme, quite outdated to the others who demand more modern anime. Long live Maison Ikkoku!!!

Well unless it was avaliable in a 9 disc box set (which would have been very limited), then 3 boxes is the only way to get it properly

I really like Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. I think it would translate to something like "The eternity you wish for" It's a really great series. I think there are quite a few great series based on hentai games. Takayuki annoys me greatly though. Especially in episode 8. Anyways. I'm a Mitsuki fangirl although Ayu is cool too. Big Grin

romance eh.definitely love hina.but there's one more!
it's tied on no.1 on my fav manga list[tied with love hina].
it's Maison Ikkoku!
i'm not sure how's the anime like, but i've read the manga and the romance is AWESOME.
if u dig romance, this is something i STRONGLY recommend.
the artwork is those early '90s artwork though.so one might no be interested in it.but trust me,the story is superb.
and it's different from love hina in a sense that this is targeted for more mature audiences[say >19 years old?].so it's really good!
imagine.almost every chapter there's a twist at the end that either makes u smile or has a connection when you read the chapter's title.

get it man. Maison Ikkoku from Takahasi Rumiko, creator of Ranma½,Inu-yasha and urusei yatsura.if u dig romance,it's worth every single bit.

Love Hina is rated 13+, isn't it? Well anyways.. I love Rumiko Takahashi anime/manga. Big Grin Urusei Yatsura probably being my fav. Bleah

Motoko from Ghost in the shell? Naughty j/k
Motoko is lovely, a very traditional Japanese girl Smile Wish there were more of them in the Japanese society, I don't refer to the geishas.

I love Ghibli movies! Lovey Eyes Especially Miyazaki's works who knows how to make movies filled with the heartwarming and adventurous themes Applaud

If you like Miyazaki films you might want to check out "Future Boy Conan", if you haven't already. ^^
