How did you find the show? I felt it was too rushed, trying to contain all events in 1.5hrs.

that's why i don't like a short drama if it's being made for a serie, i think it would be better and will have lots of tears for sure

I think the story is okay, even it's kind of slow but yeahh sumtimes they just pushed the 'story value* up too much. I found the speech in the boy's ceremony service is too long.

Overall is okay, and it helped by yamada's superb acting. It's sad tho

Same here, I don't like watching SP's or movies because they are so short (hollywood movies not included )

Still trying to figure out the story as I have not watched the subbed version yet.

I couldn't concentrate on the story, rather this time concentrated on his new sexy body

Yamada Takayuki will be acting in Fuji TV's drama SP to be shown in December with Suzuki Anne. The drama entitled Start Line is about an athlete who gets injured and becomes a blind girl's guide during the Para-lympic short distance running event. The story is based on a novel by Kurihara Miwako.

Yamada plays Imai Jun who is expected to take part in the Olympic short distance running event and is raised by his single mother played by Ootake Shinobu. However, during the heat, Imai falls and injures himself just before the goal. As a result, he has to give up his Olympic dream. At the same time, he meets a blind girl, Hitomi and trains with her so as to be her guide in the Para-lympic (Olympics for the disabled). Just as he re-discovers the joy of running again, Imai finds himself down with an incurable illness.
